Best pizza I’ve ever ate. By far my favorite pizza place. I also got the pork skins and was surprised how good they were. Guy running the place was super cool!! Smoke smell was little much from bar inside the room.

I hope that the owners of this business is able to keep this place running. I had a on top of experience of trying to go out to this place to introduce myself as a person to get to know them and they are honestly just not fully equipped the staff maybe only have one bartender throughout the week working through the entire day, but the weekends are slow for Friday and Saturdays live night, music and the Monday night bingo is OK If you can understand of how to play that play the game, it was very confusing and too much and bad type of vibe for the Monday nights and need to have better entertainment to be honest and maybe only have like one or two cooks in the kitchen, food is terrible pizza on their menu is the only thing that brings out attention for the audience for those that even like pizza and those that cherish pizza for land, I almost was starting to call it slice of Helen, but I’ve how they lied and said that they did not have the money to be able to pay people for the Friday and Saturday live nights music and they have other people already playing it and then they wanna lie about not being able to have the money to be able to pay a person to be able to do an individual act is pretty ridiculous and I would never come here again to spend money in this place.

On january 22,2026 my husband and I went to this establishment for pizza and wings and garlic bread. We ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza and garlic parmesean wings and garlic bread. IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS AND WE HAD LOTS FOR LATER. I would definitely go here again when we’re in Helen Georgia. We were celebrating our 44th anniversary while we were in Helen. The food was really good but the problem is you have to wait about an hour and a half to get it. When this happened to me the first time last year I thought it was just a bad day but then it happened again. 2 hours of sitting there waiting for 30 minutes of eating. Our appetizer was the Baked Fondue which took 30 to make it to the table and did not include the “house made” bread. It was one piece of buttered and browned toast which didn’t even allow us to finish off the dip. The sweet tea tasted like recycled dish water. The only redeeming factor was the pizza. My favorite was the Asian BBQ chicken; it had the perfect amount of spice with a good flavor and the crust was crunchy. I do NOT recommend going here with a group or if you are in a time crunch.

We dined at Slice of Helen on the last night of our trip. We made this decision based on the reviews despite Slice of Helen being one of the few restaurants in the area without 4+ stars. We sat on the dining room side vs the bar side. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He was prompt with the service he provided. We got the Hog Crackers (they were okay), the meat calzone, and the sundried tomato bacon alfredo (I forget the exact name). The calzone and pasta were just what we expected, reasonably priced for the portions, and didn’t take long to be prepared. I would absolutely go back to this restaurant if I were in the area and craving Italian. Do be advised that there is the smell of smoke in the air due to smoking on the bar side and it was very loud from a band or karaoke. If you’re in Helen and want Italian, this is pretty much your only option, but be prepared for the smell of smoke. As non smokers, it didn’t bother us, but definitely could be an issue for others. I’ve read a lot of reviews discussing the bathrooms, but I didn’t use the restroom so I can’t speak on that.

This place is a little rough around the edges, but it’s a HOMEMADE crust. Which is almost unheard of! I love the pesto pizza. I love the red sauce too. It’s one of the better spots in Helen!!! Be prepared to wait 30 mins. Good pizza takes time.

Our server, Allison, was excellent. Extremely communicative and friendly. The food was very lackluster, though. It wasn’t inedible but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Go to Two Tire Tavern right down the road. Smoke free, so you don’t have to throw your clothes away at the end of the night and super clean restrooms that aren’t sprayed with urine and Lol. Great entertainment on the weekends and if you want great pizza, there is a pizza place right next door…but go back to two tire for drinks . Vicky is straight up and awesome.

The place was severely understaffed but the service was still good. The pizza was super yummy it’s a thin kind of New York style pizza has a slightly sweet sauce but lots of yummy cheese this is a Pepperoni an extra cheese pizza that I had and it was delicious. I give it an 8/10 on my perfect pizza scale. Yum! Fries were delicious too
