My favorite pizza I bought was the Wise Guy, which came with tomato sauce, pepperoni, ricotta cheese, green onions, and sweet and spicy Italian sausage. The main flavor profile was the sweet and spicy Italian sausage — it added a delicate but different sweet taste and meat texture to the pizza which accommodated the salty pepperoni and tomato sauce well. I also enjoyed how the tomato sauce wasn’t overpowering – it was slightly salty and acidic but did not overwhelm the other toppings on the pizza. The green onions also added a refreshing and spring taste to the pizza. With all toppings together, you can taste many different notes of flavor from all ingredients – each ingredient contributed to the flavor of the pizza.
Their Cal Italia is their award winning pizza that was memorable for its unique flavor due to toppings like sweet fig, balsamic drizzle and prosciutto. Although it did not fit my personal taste, it was still enjoyable because it deviated from the standard taste of pizza. The pizza did not come with sauce which allowed the main flavors from the balsamic drizzle and sweet fig to stand out. The Asiago and Gorgonzola cheese added creaminess and a subtle buttery taste that supported the other flavors.
I will definitely come back to try their other pizzas and other sides with family and friends!
Been to one of their locations in the bay area and it was fantastic then so had a good base line coming here.
Their Wise Guy pizza in New York style is my favorite.
Pricing wise they’re about what you expect for a quality pizza store, maybe a tad cheaper even if you buy by the slice.
I tried a deep dish slice of “Traditional” and “Burrata Queen”. Both I thought was really good… Burrata Queen reminded me of gourmet garlic bread and Traditional had nice texture and taste especially the pepperoni they use.
I would definitely come again, but $16 for 2 slices of deep dish pizza would make me think twice on how often I would come back. Lunch specials would be nice though.
When you think of reheated pizza, you are expecting the cheese to melt and be gooey. In this case, no! Their little conveyor belt oven does not heat the pizza up properly like other Pizza spots that are dear to MY Heart that use an actual oven. My microwave heats better than slice house. Even my pan technique of reheating pizza probably works better than their machine.
Pizza was heated in some parts but Cheese was not melted and some parts were really tough to chew. I will give it another try but only a fresh cooked pizza and not one reheated. Weird seating in side with 4 large tables to accommodate 6-8 people. Not enough for 1 – 2 people. Lines can be long because you only have 1 person as the cashier and taking orders while heating up the pizza. The size of the slice is a plus.
The service was equally amazing. The new staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. They represented the brand beautifully.
You could tell management was on deck, fully engaged, making sure everything ran smoothly for their opening, living up to the legendary quality that Gemignani’s Pizza is known for.
We’re so thrilled to have Slice House right here in Milpitas. A little slice of heaven in our own backyard. Can’t wait to come back soon
