Otherwise, my experience was OK
I came in at 8:45 and their kitchen was already shut down as they closed at 9pm, so it stopped me from trying any fresh pizzas and I had to rely on the slices they had left over in their display case. There was cheese, pepperoni, a couple hot honey flavors and the Gino.
We tried a slice of cheese, pepperoni and the Gino and it was as we expected for pizza slices that had been sitting out. Their display case isn’t warm, so they throw the slices into the impinger ovens to heat them up. Their pizzas have a bit of sweetness to them, I’m not sure if it’s in the dough or the sauce but it’s def it’s own unique flavor.
I can imagine that these pizzas taste much better when they are hot and fresh out of the oven, so I will reserve final judgement for the next time I’m there.
Their pizzas are pricey, in the range of $23 or so and up and slices are $6-8 each. The restaurant was clean and spacious and does a better job with that space that the old restaurant that was there.
I have been looking forward to this place opening up for a while, so I hope I get to try it again and update my review.
My husband picked up a large pepperoni pizza, and let me just say… it was HUGE. Definitely more than enough for two people. One slice for me was more than enough — the slices are true New York–style, big, foldable, and generous.
The pizza tasted incredibly fresh, delicious, and authentic. You can really tell the quality is there. Perfect crust, great sauce, and just the right amount of toppings.
Next time we’ll probably go for a smaller size so we can try more varieties, because we definitely want to come back and explore the menu more.
So happy to have this spot in Porter Ranch
