Fantastic pizza. Loved it. There was only 1 girl working doing everything and she did a fantastic job. I will 100% be back.

In my 44 years, I’ve eaten a LOT of pizza—over 10 of those years working in the industry. I started at 15 years old as a cook, then a driver, and eventually became a store manager for a national chain I still buy from today. So believe me when I say: I know pizza. And Slice by Saddleback just reminded me why I fell in love with it in the first place.

We tried their Buy One Get One Free Monday deal and grabbed two All Meats. When I picked them up, I was asked if I wanted pizza sauce and ranch on the side. “Sure, why not.” And wow… that’s when the game completely changed.

The pizza? Brick-oven perfection. Every slice had that satisfying crunch. Toppings were exactly right—not skimpy like the big chains have been doing lately, and not overdone either. Just balanced. Just right.
The sauce? Next-level. You could taste real crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and a touch of love. Nothing canned, nothing fake—just fresh and bold.
The ranch? This was the hidden gem. I always thought Jets or Horrocks had the best ranch, but nope. Slice by Saddleback owns that title now. Creamy, tangy, the perfect texture—not too thick, not too runny. It clung where it should, fell off where it should, and made every bite better.

This isn’t just another pizza joint. This is pizza done with passion, detail, and heart. Slice by Saddleback doesn’t just serve pizza—they serve an experience. If you think you’ve had good pizza, think again. This is pizza heaven.

For a place that is so highly rated the pizza I just got was meh at the best. I don’t see how this place is so highly rated. Disappointed to say the least.

Whoever is working rn is running their business into the ground. Im sitting in the parking lot watching the employees take 15 minutes to top my pizza. I waited 20 minutes to drive up here because they said it would be 25 minutes wait. Cool. I get here and ask about the pizza. Its literally on the counter just dough no toppings not even ready to go in. Im sitting here watching this kid walk back and fourth to the walk in. Not really doing anything. The girl is in there just stretching the same piece of dough for the entire time I’ve been sitting here. Ive waited an additional 20 minutes in the parking lot. So 45 minutes total which would have been fine if they gave me that estimate. They said 20-25 min to pick up. Update: I get home n its freaking burnt and theres not even arugula on it. Its unedible. Positive note. They did immediately refund my money. But I wont be back. The lady before me told me she waited an additional 30 minutes in the lobby and also received burnt pizza.

In response to the owners reply:
We have ordered your pizza numerous times. Its never been charred to the point of burnt toppings but sure. I would do a quality check instead of assuming your customers are uninformed about your pizza process. Thanks for responding

I believe this is the best thin crust pizza in Lansing. Combine that with the friendly service I’ve received each time I’ve visited + the good daily deals they have (BOGO Mondays is the best), this makes for a great pizza option. And our pizza often comes loaded with toppings. All their pizzas are good but I highly suggest the Chicken & Waffle or BBQ Chicken specialty pizzas.

Attending a pizza baking class at Slice by Saddleback in South Lansing was an absolute blast! The experience was both fun and informative, with knowledgeable instructors guiding us through the art of pizza making. From kneading the dough to choosing the perfect toppings, every step was hands-on and engaging. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a perfect activity for families, friends, or even solo pizza enthusiasts. Plus, getting to enjoy our freshly baked creations afterwards was the cherry on top. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pizza aficionado, this class is a must-do experience that’s sure to leave you craving more! If you can’t make a class, definitely stop in and grab a pizza! Mondays are BOGO!

Had the Monday special. Two pizza’s for $21.99. Choose the meat lovers pizza and the date night pizza. The flavors of the pizza was excellent. The only thing is if your looking for a thick crust . Your getting thin crust. Meat Lovers pizza had plenty of toppings.

I get there and I pay for my pizza. I expected him to hand it to me, but then I see “…help yourself if you see your pizza…”., so I go to grab my order. But while all this is going on, he’s helping another customer. After the customer finishes paying, he cuts me off as I go to grab my order and hands the customers their order. And he does the exact same thing when going to grab my soda. And then I got home, and the pizza was fairly cold, and it wasn’t even sliced. He said the order will be ready for pick up at 6:10 and I get there at 6:03
