Everything And Nothing
Mushrooms Run the World was tasty but messy. My matcha latte was good, but I wish it was stronger. The Buzzy Grilled Cheese was great, but it could have used more cheese and fig jam. The amount of turkey was generous though. The vanilla latte was exactly what you would expect it to be. We would come back.

Over priced for a mcdonalds sausage patty $5??? that was like a crispy cookie, smashed potatoes just a boiled baker not even smashed, eggs are eggs, yogurt bowl literally full of plain yogurt with a pinch of granola, server took forever… I thought it would be nice. Oh and toast was also hard as a rock.

Shay was our server! Wow he was there about 4 times asking us about our meals. Want more tea, water, how was or your food? He even cleared plates in one of the stops. Ask for Shay he is friendly and quick, oh yeah the place was packed, still amazing service and food.

This place is fantastic. Gluten free options, all around yummy food. Our barista/waitress Nikki was incredibly friendly and is clearly passionate about her job. Her Drink of the Day was a Lemon Tart Matcha and it was unique, bright and refreshing! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

This place is pretty average.
The food is a little better than average. The pancakes are fine, but honestly, Cracker Barrel’s are better. I’d put these just above IHOP.
The long wait absolutely pulls the whole experience down. The servers are actually very good, but when it gets busy everything gets backed up – almost like they don’t have enough staff. Food and drinks were done, but because the server has so many tables and people, the food sat and we could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Same for the smoothies (got warm) and coffee (came room temp).
Overall, just very average and I don’t believe worth the long wait or price.

understandably busy on a saturday morning. however, we waited 40 minutes for our food and even longer for our waiter to even look at us. very rude waiter, just stared at us as we paid. despite her, everyone else being reasonably kind. food was just okay, overpriced. latte and bacon were fantastic.

The only reason this review has stars at all is because the serving staff is doing their damndest, including and especially this location’s management. Everything else? Disappointing doesn’t cover it.
To preface, my father, brother, and I have been coming here for years, multiple times a week. We’re regulars in every sense.
Clearly staffing has changed in the kitchen because not only are ticket times double, but quality of food prep/production has plummeted. Just today a grilled cheese sandwich was delivered with shredded cheese. Last week my sandwich had to be remade literally three times. Pancakes are inconsistent. Three examples of many.
Serving staff is running around like crazy to correct kitchen mistakes and apologizing for lateness, as well as making apologies for hiked menu prices and dishes being removed that people loved.
Further, I don’t know what’s going on at the higher level to make so many incredible servers quit, but something has to change. Sleepy Bee has incredible employees that deserve support and encouragement and a kitchen that deserves to be staffed and trained.
Sleepy Bee boasts support of the local community in its sourcing, now it’s time they prove they can support their own community that works for them.

In summary, this place had great service but mediocre food. The wait for a table wasn’t bad at all, despite it being a busy Saturday morning. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly too, and our server was awesome. Overall, they have a good looking menu; the pancakes seem to be the highlight, but I went with a scramble. It was pretty much eggs, meat, and veggies thrown into a skillet with no seasoning. There was nothing special about it. The roasted sweet potatoes were decent and had a tad more flavor to them. They seem to have some quality espresso and the mocha was pretty good. Maybe go the sweet route if you choose to visit here!
