Friendly, fast, and dee-licious. The brisket melted in my mouth, and the yellow bbq sauce had so much flavor and a slight kick of heat. My only regret was not ordering more! Definitely will be back ☺️

Everything is great but if I had to pick one thing it would be the brisket. It is so juicy so flavorful. They also make brisket beans which is a few different kinds of beans, onions, peppers, broth and bits of brisket. This joint is awesome

I have no idea what the food taste like because I didn’t get my order. The service was awful. The FB page said they did curbside so I called and my first question was do you do curbside. I was told yes by a female. I placed my order and drove to pick it up. Only to be told by an extremely rude man with an attitude problem he didn’t do curbside and didn’t know what I was talking about. I explained I called and was told they did. Absolutely nothing on the other end of the phone. I said okay, thank you and left. This is not a good impression at all for a family that just moved into the neighborhood. You always hear eat and shop local which I normally do but, I will not be giving these folks any of my business. By the way I got lunch from a food chain and they offered me service with a smile.

In my opinion, Sledge’s has some of the best BBQ in the area. So, if you haven’t tried them yet, get there soon. Time is running out. They are closing their doors, for good, on 11/18/2023.
Their brisket is very good, along with the pulled pork, and their wings are wonderful, with just enough spice (not too much), to give it a little kick.
I am texting this on 11/2, so if you want to try some very good BBQ, you’d better hurry. They shut down two weeks from this coming Saturday.

So so so good. Cannot believe this place has been hiding under my nose for so long! It’s popular so be prepared to wait a little while. But it’s worth it. Huge portions and delicious food. I had the brisket, but I will get the ribs next time. They looks phenomenal!

The only negative about Sledge’s BBQ is the hours of operation and possibly finding it but with regards to the food sledges barbecue is the best of the shoals. The seasoning and the taste is everything you would want in barbecue and although it’s small and locally owned you will be hard pressed to find a better barbecue restaurant anywhere.
Whether it’s brisket, barbecue, chicken, or ribs sledges barbecue does an excellent job on each.
Sure to popularity they have expanded the restaurant and it provides seating for more people. Also now that words getting around about their BBQ parking can be challenging. They have plenty of parking but you might have to walk a ways.
Sledge’s may be away from town and a short drive but the drive is worth it the BBQ is great!

Hands down, best BBQ in the area. Even better than the place that people rave about in Decatur. I’ve not found BBQ ANYWHERE within 100 miles that is this good. I just wish they were open more often.

This is the best BBQ in the area! Their bologna, chicken, ribs and pork are all awesome! I HIGHLY recommend eating here. Keep in mind that they are not open every day of the week. Don’t forget the Butterfinger pie for dessert!
