Just in town for a night and found this place. Lots of food options. Fun decor and atmosphere. Waitress was great and accommodating. We had ordered two racks of ribs, but were told they ran out. We ended up with a single order and it was cooked perfectly. The Sleder burger was big, but kind of dry. Homemade fries were excellent.

Went here for lunch with a friend. Food was delicious, service was great, and pricing reasonable. My friend got the tortilla wrap with shrimp. I personally got the perch basket.

Would definitely return for lunch or even dinner!

Great food. Typical prices for the area. Excellent service. Drinks were perfect. Wet Burrito was the best I’ve had in at least 20 years. Cherry BBQ chicken was big and the sauce was great, chicken was moist . My only complaint was the ladies room was repulsive. The rest was amazing.

I was so at ease during a large birthday party for Retha, a dear friend and wonderful women from our church. We talked, we laughed and we sang happy birthday (really loud). We never got interrupted, we just had a great time at ease =) the staff was a well oiled machine and even minded during all the requests from everyone. I could go on. No I did not get paid for this. I gladly offer it for free in gratitude and smiles =)
Thanks a bunch Sleders family team for helping us create memories for Retha
KEEP SMILING =)

We went here for lunch. My bacon burger was great, but the rest of my family said that their food was dry. We all agreed the service was great and the drinks were excellent.

I discovered Sleder’s on a list of the oldest continuously operating restaurant in each state. I had a free night on a business trip so a visit to Sleder’s was put on the schedule.

I had the smelt meal with tater tots. The smelt was wonderfully and lightly seasoned. The portion was large enough I could barely eat it all (Grandma always said “Clean your plate”!).

Make sure to kiss the moose!

This is a tc tradition and if you want an unspoiled ‘old bar and restaurant’, this is it. I’ll bet it hasn’t changed *at all* in 50 years. The food was better than expected and priced fairly. Bar type fare.

The issue I had was the decor. Normally I wouldn’t say anything about a restaurant’s look but this place really needs a refresh. I sat near a window and had to wear my coat all evening as the draft was impossible to avoid. I noticed old electrical outlets just over the drapery rods all the way down the walls. I didn’t look too closely into where all the cords for lighting were, after seeing that. The chairs are really wobbly and need attention. The wallpaper is peeling. I get it’s an old ‘saloon’ vibe but there’s a fine line between that and ‘dive bar’. It’s not like the place is a step back in time in every way. They are charging $7.50 for a can of nonalcoholic lemonade, (which i ordered two of, not realizing), lol, so they do know it’s the 2020’s.

I just think it would be a morale boost to the clients and staff to spruce the place up a little. Just a thought.
