Unfortunately, I had to miss out on a birthday lunch here.
However, my husband and his parents said it was an absolutely lovely experience, overall very cute restaurant, just difficulties with parking as we all know in Manhattan beach.
He brought me back a mushroom pizza and the Italian sandwich.
As with all Italian sandwiches, I wish it was just a little less bread, but it was so delicious and juicy.
The pizza was quite delightful, such a delicious crust cause normally I leave the crust on my plate, but I ate it all this time.
Can’t wait to go try it in person.

What a great find! Excellent food in a casual setting. Menu is not huge but they did everything perfect. Linguine with clams was delicious. Chopped salad was perfect. Foccia bread was heavenly. Had a glass of sparkling wine that arrived nice and cold!❤️. The tiramisu was delicious. We are new to the area and can’t wait to try another Slay restaurant!

Wonderful service and atmosphere. Celebrated my mom’s birthday here and they take hospitality so seriously! It’s very good to see. The manager was truly amazing, he was so accommodating and caring that we genuinely had a wonderful night here. Thank you! Forgot to take pictures of other dishes we got, but it was great!

I recently dined at Slay and was thoroughly impressed! From the warm, inviting ambiance to the exceptional service, every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying their Risotto —it was unforgettable!
Lazaro and Jordan were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a night out with friends, Slay is a fantastic choice. Can’t wait to return!

It was a pleasant experience however the food was overpriced. The penne without any protein as a vegetarian option was $28. Chicken piccata was served with red penne. The focaccia was great!! Enjoyed the burrata and jam. We probably will not go here again.
For the price we are paying, the dishes need to be elevated.

When the garlic bread is the star of the show, then you know we were not happy with our meals. The service was great. Atmosphere fine. There were five of us. Everyone felt the dishes were mediocre. Did the marinara pasta sauce come from a jar?

We had a great experience from start to finish. The service was hands down wonderful. Molly took great care of us, and was very accommodating with the wine options. The food was exceptional, we got the mushroom pizza, the fettuccine and the orecchiette. Definitely would come back.

Good vibes decent food, great service. The food was okay, not superb. The garlic bread was yummy but had barely any garlic taste to it and the salad portion was very small. The fettuccine was good though! Pretty platings.
Saturday dinner wasn’t too busy; we were able to be seated without a reservation for two. Our server was caring and nice.

What a gem! This was hands down the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Everything was excellent—the dishes were full of flavor, the ambiance was charming and inviting, and some tables even offer a beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant itself is cozy and quaint, which made the experience even more special. Service was absolutely top-notch—thank you for a wonderful evening! I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Slay, who was kind enough to take our picture. Such a down-to-earth and genuine guy!

Equal parts fantastic food and fantastic service. Will did a lovely job explaining the menu and specials, and we truly enjoyed every plate. The fig and prosciutto pizza was delicious, and the gluten free menu accommodations were equally tasty. I look forward to returning and trying more of the menu. The general manager was charming and it’s obvious that chef really enjoys creating works of art on every plate.
