Noodle soups & clay pots join other Vietnamese fare in this casual, modern restaurant with a patio.

Saw the Guy Fieri show about Slanted Rice flying into Phoenix. Turns out it was next to our conference center in Scottsdale and I could walk right over. Flavors and freshness of things you’ve had before make this about the best food in its class. I had to come twice. Do Pho, Shaken Beef, rolls, and salad. Their wings’ texture happens to be superior to practically any in Buffalo, NY, and the lemongrass, sweet fish, and garlic butter are all pretty exotic for wing genre.

Pricey food with low food quality. We ordered combination rice noodle soups. The texture and shape of the meat looked like glandular or lymphatic tissue, and under the light it even showed a strange iridescent sheen. The meat tasted very odd as well. I strongly suspect they are using very low-quality, cheap cuts while charging high prices.

The food is very fresh, delicious and the ingredients are first rate. Service is the issue: the wait staff were so nice but they are working too hard. Please hire adequate staff! We had to wait way too long before we were asked for our bar order and then we had to wait a long time for the drinks. There was no bartender for full bar service, wait staff had to do that AND make sure food orders were delivered. This place deserves all the love, the prices are reasonable for the quality, but PLEAS3 help out your wait staff!! We would have ordered way more drinks if we could have. And probably more food.

I ordered a pho, and the broth was full of MSG. There was very little meat, and the bean sprouts that came with it were rotten and not fresh at all. I don’t recommend it.

I had such a fantastic time at Slanted Rice! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of cozy and chic.
The food did not disappoint. I started with the potstickers (I ended up ordering a second order after eating the first). The potstickers were perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful filling. For my main dish, I went with the Prawns with Garlic Noodles, and wow, it was a game-changer. The prawns were cooked to perfection, and the noodles had that rich garlic essence that made every bite indulgent.
Overall, an amazing dining experience! Great food, great vibe—I’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I saw this restaurant on Triple D about a couple of weeks before we took our trip to Scottsdale, so we decided to try it out. We had a late lunch, so we almost had the place to ourselves. The food was good, portions were just right for lunch. We will definitely come back when in the area!

We were recommended this place by some friends. We went on Sunday 1/25/26 and our server was Mason, he was very kind and made our lunch experience very pleasant. Definitely will come here again.

I had the veggie pho and it wasnt very tasteful. Had a strange taste and no seasoning. We also had the spring rolls and there was way too much lettuce and little flavor. The clay pot was way to full and we couldnt stir the pot to get to the rice before it burned. Probably will not go again. There really wasnt many people eating in there at 1130, was a littlw worried, now i know why.

Okay food but premium prices I feel. We were here to explore and try a new dish but it wasn’t as per the expectations we had. Won’t say you shouldn’t try it but I have tried other Vietnamese places (the one on Cave Creek and 101) and I know the taste.
Try it if you like and added a few pictures.
