Duck, beef dish were great. Very tasty. I would have to say their duck is better than the zy Peking duck place in SF. Cozy atmosphere. Can get loud in there.

We have been wanting to come here. The slanted door cook book was game changer for us. And we loved the chef. We finally made it for lunch on Sunday. We really enjoyed everything and it was as perfect as we expected. Many pescaterian options. Drinks, coffee and dessert were amazing as well.

This is our new favorite spot for dinner in Napa. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night and luckier to have Jazzy as our server. We asked her what she would suggest we order. Her face lit up as she graced us with her extensive knowledge of a very full menu. Every dish she suggested was excellent. If you like Asian food and want something different make sure you get in here and ask for Jazzy. You will find this to be an exceptional dining experience. ❤️

By a known Vietnamese chef, unfortunately, he recently passed away. However, other members stepped up to continue running the restaurant. Good foods. We didn’t make reservation as it was a little after 5pm, the gamble worked as there were available tables. When we left later, the place was pretty much full of diners.

Was it pricey? Yes. Was it worth it? 100%.
We came in without high expectations since it doesn’t look like a traditional Vietnamese restaurant — but after just a few bites, I knew I was completely wrong. The Slanted Door does an incredible job of elevating classic Vietnamese family-style dishes while keeping their true flavors and generous portions. Delicious Vietnamese food made with real, quality ingredients, yet presented in a way that perfectly fits the luxury vibe of Napa Valley — I completely understand and respect that.

The dessert menu seems to change often, but the chè chuối I had tasted just like home. Overall, a genuinely satisfying experience that anyone who loves Vietnamese food should try.

Enjoyed a delicious meal with my husband in their lovely courtyard last night. I love this location in Napa with easy parking in back. Food was great as was the service. Save room for dessert. The pavlova was super yummy! Gotta bring my mom to try the duck soon.

Great place to come for a special occasion! I appreciate that the restaurant acknowledged my special day with a card and welcome drink. The service was great with a very knowledgeable and friendly server. The food is delicious! The ‘Shaking Beef’ and ‘Chicken Claypot’ were great options. I definitely want to come back and try to duck but it’s only offered on weekends. The artwork on the walls is stunning. We are inside but the courtyard looks lovely and a happy hour event was taking place when we were there so looks like a great space for that. If you’re in Napa, make sure to visit.

If only this were closer to me, I’d be here far more often.

I’ve been going to the San Francisco location since I was a teenager, and visiting Slanted Door Napa felt like reconnecting with an old friend in a beautiful new setting. The Dungeness crab noodles are still absolutely incredible and instantly transported me back to my youth, same flavors, same magic.

On top of the food, the service was impeccable. The team was attentive, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive without ever feeling intrusive. You can really feel how much they care about the guest experience.

A classic that continues to deliver, no matter the location. Worth the trip every single time.

Delightful experience. The inner courtyard was so pleasant with its trees and breeze. The pineapple soda was a nice start. The imperial rolls are messy to eat but delicious and crispy. The battered shishito peppers were crispy and delicious. The bao buns were the perfect texture and fairly mild flavor. The service was warm and friendly. Overall a really great meal.

I don’t mind leaving a 20% gratuity when the service is exactly what you’d expect from a great restaurant and the food is outstanding. After visiting countless restaurants in Napa as a local, I feel fortunate to have The Slanted Door here. It’s truly unique—there’s something romantic and refreshingly different about the decor and atmosphere of this place that makes me happy. The food is both rich and subtle, while the service carries a wonderful rhythm that elevates the entire experience.
