Had the Slamming Sammy Platter and it was great. I don’t do steamed so I got my oysters raw and they were nice and salty like I wanted. I don’t remember getting any hoop cheese as part of the platter, maybe that was removed when they moved to the new location. Place fills up quickly so get there early. Worth the wait.

We are at Sammy’s last night. They have delicious food! We ordered 6 large blue crabs & they even cleaned them before steaming them! No gunk!!!! It was wonderful. We also had corn on the cob & Cole slaw. The service was great & I highly recommend it.

Pretty good oysters but PLEASE get some tables. I know you’re going for the oyster bar vibe but many people with and without families don’t want to sit at a bar. We requested a table and were shuffled to a back room with 0 ambiance. We’re really rooting for the place to succeed but there’s no way you make it with no tables.

My wife and I were passing through town when we stumbled upon Slammin Sammy’s Oyster Bar. As we got out of the car, the owner warmly greeted us at the door and even held it open for us. Inside, the bar is to the left, and the oyster bar is to the right. We chose seats at the oyster bar, and the owner promptly brought us menus.
We decided on a half-peck of oysters, two clusters of crab legs, and a couple of beers. The crab legs arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. Our server, Harry, skillfully shucked the oysters right in front of us—it was impressive to watch! The oysters were perfectly steamed and tasted incredible.
If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Slammin Sammy’s. You won’t regret it! The beer is cold and the crab legs and oysters are hot!

My dad and I went here with a seafood craving, and enjoyed every piece of food. We had the sampler platter, plus an extra dozen oysters, scallops, and the crab cake. The shrimp and scallops were seasoned perfectly, and my dad said the crab cake was the best he’s had. Highly recommend!

I went last night with my family and friends to Slamming Sammy’s. It was by far the best dining experience I have had in years. The oysters were delicious- they were prepared exactly how we all like them. They were large, juicy, plump, and filled the shell. We also had peel & eat shrimp and crab legs. Everything was perfect. We stayed several hours eating and eating! You cannot beat $1 oysters. We decided we we will be going back to Slamming Sammy’s frequently. It’s the best evening we have had out in a long time.

First visit and was greatly pleased. Friday evening and crowded, single bar tender was extremely busy but kept up. Shooters are large and the house made hot sauce was tasty and not too hot. Wife and I shared a peck and a pound in the raw bar. Server Gary was great shucking oysters between four of us and keeping our sauces and horseradish filled.
