I traveled from Hammond to Roseland just to try the food. Once I got there, I was greeted with a smile and asked what I wanted to order. The owner, Mr Kenny, prepared my order and was very polite and courteous. The place has a family oriented atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and polite. I received my order promptly. The food was amazing. I’ll definitely travel up there again to dine with them.

Delicious food and wonderful staff! The manager, Walter, was so friendly! The lady who brought our food (didn’t get her name) was wonderful. My brother took me for my birthday and Walter gave me banana pudding. So good!!!

We came all the way down from Chicago, and this was our first stop in Louisiana. It did not disappoint! We had the pork ribs, pulled pork sandwich, greens, Mac and cheese, and the big daddy potato. ALLLLL of it was delicious, tender, and very filling! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some delicious homemade BBQ!

Perhaps it’s a Louisiana thing, but why were my greens sweet? The ribs were dry even with the sauce. Fries, limp and cold and the sausage was luke warm. The sauce could definitely be better. The service is great but the food needs a lot of work.

Made a fishing trip and when we were done, a new friend that was local recommended Slabs. Took him up and so glad we did. The staff was very friendly but the food, it was awesome down to the buns our sandwiches were served on. We had the brisket and smoked sausage sandwiches. The manner the meat was cooked, the flavor and even the way they were constructed was five star. Will be back soon and can’t wait to try the beef ribs!! It’s worth the trip even if it’s a little out of the way.

Everything was great. Best tasting smoked meats I’ve had in a long time. Brisket was perfect! The pulled pork sandwich was great. The Mac and cheese is a MUST HAVE. baked beans were on point. All around great food!! If you want smoked barbecue this is the place to go! Worth every penny!
