Ask anyone in Cincinnati what makes the chili here famous and you will here Skyline. After being told by literally everyone I asked, my son and I sought out the location that was most recommended in the Clifton area on Ludlow. I am glad we made this a stop on our trip.

The staff greets you as soon as you walk in the door and everyone here is serving up the dishes that Skyline is famous for with genuine smiles. The chili is not the same as you get in Nebraska and (this a Lincoln, Ne thing) there are no cinnamon rolls in sight. With that being said the food is everything we were told it would be. DELICIOUS!

If you are traveling through Cincinnati make sure to stop in and try it for yourself. You’ll be glad you did.

Cincy staple!! Fresh food, quick service and amazing staff. Skyline chili is comfort food at it’s best. The taste is great and they do have a few vegetarian options which I love. Chilly is amazing on the spice (nutmeg, cinnamon, etc) and strangely sweet. Piled on a bed of noodles with massive amounts of shredded cheese, it’s no wonder people have hard opinions on Cincinnati Chili. It was my first time trying it and Loved it. This location looks like it still maintains the old school feel… 100% recommend!

Quick fast and friendly service at this location. Surprised this to be the oldest skyline chili location still standing. Authentic Skyline Chili taste. Generous size for a good price. I enjoyed the coney’s topped with the cheese.

I’m going to paint you a picture with my words because I can’t with my hands. It’s not going to be pretty. Think…toddler with permanent marker on your new stainless steel fridge. And not even child prodigy toddler. Keeps trying to bite the cat toddler.

I’ve never had Cincinnati chili before. I’ve only ever read about it in magazines or seen about it in movies. Now I finally got to experience about it in my belly.

I’ll be honest. Chili on spaghet? Knock that crap off. This is why you lost the war.

Boy oh boy. Was I wrong. If I ever put anything on my soaghetto, it will only be this. Heck, if I ever put anything on anything anymore, it will only be this.

Let’s get into the nuts and bolts of it. Classic diner style seating and atmosphere. Classic diner style servers. Everything is quick and well oiled. This isn’t their first time. Don’t be a square, sit at the bar for that authentic experience.

Because I’m not here to play games, I ordered the 5 ways. This was: spaghit, chili, shredded cheese, diced onion, and beans. And because I’m also not there to play games, I got it with the extreme habanero cheese. I did order the small only because I was unsure of if I was going to like it. In reality, had I known then what did now, I would have ordered all of it. Not as much as possible. All. Of. It. I just don’t even know how to explain it. It’s spigot with chili and cheese. It tastes like dreams feel. It tastes like what a child’s laughter sounds like. They could have served this out of a sweaty gym sock and I would have politely asked for more.

Here’s the bonus. The lady sitting next to me was eating a couple coney dogs. I noticed I didn’t even have one. So, I ordered a single coney. Habanero cheese. Another home run. It almost doesn’t seem fair. My only regret in life right now is that I don’t have one in my pocket for snacking.

Best thing you’ll eat: 12/10

Not a bad place to try Cincy Chili.

The store itself is rather large but it has an old school feel. Parking is behind the store in a separate lot.

Excellent as always never been to this location. There is private parking around the side, free of charge. They parking lot people will give you a black plastic piece which needs to be exchanged inside for a white one and parking is free. Thought that was pretty cool.

The Chili is definitely different. I could taste the clove in the sauce. The atmosphere was very nice . The young lady gave me a Lil sample to try. It’s an acquired taste but I wanted to see what the hype was with chili and spaghetti mixed. Here visiting my sister for our mother’s birthday. As far as recommendations I’d say of you are food come try the Chilli dogs at least and the chili. Guess I’m just a southern girl at heart . We appreciate the hospitality. ♥️

You can’t say you’ve been to Cincinnati until you’ve sat at a Skyline counter. The 3 Way is absolute perfection, there’s something about that secret recipe chili with its hints of cinnamon and chocolate that just hits differently. The cheese is always perfectly shredded and piled high, and the service is lightning fast. Don’t forget to load up your oyster crackers with their signature hot sauce while you wait. It’s the ultimate comfort food and a Queen City icon for a reason!

My friends and I tried Skyline Chili today for the first time and went to this location for a late dinner. There was a dedicated parking lot for Skyline customers with free 1 hour parking.
We were served immediately, our food came out very quickly, and had a great time! I had a small 3 way, it was very good. No complaints at all other than the pretty harsh fluorescent lighting, but it just added to the “cafe” atmosphere.

We visited in October 2024. We are not from Cincinnati, we did NOT like the chili. The restaurant needed more ventilation – was very smoky the whole time we were there.
Free, close parking lot. Food was cheap.
Tried it, don’t need to eat it twice.
