Decided to go ahead and try this place after reading the reviews. I was impressed hot dogs are simple chili has good flavor and the extreme habanero cheese had good spice. They load the cheese on all items that include it. I would def eat here again if I’m ever around a area that has one

Went to the downtown location, and had Ryan as a server. He was probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had! Friendly, helpful, funny and overall a great person! He sang to me for my birthday and I got a piece of blueberry cheesecake out of it! The food was top notch, as always! Thanks for the great service, Ryan! Keep up the good work!

Today I visited a place called Skyline Chili.
Server: Tone
Cook/Manager: Patrick
Cashier: Bee
Location: 4th Street & Sycamore

Walked in. Nice atmosphere and very BIG & nice establishment.
People however aren’t so great.
Sat down ordered my food. Ask Tone shouldn’t he be writing it down so that he will not forget. “Nah I got it” as he replied.
First thing is that they failed to get the extreme cheese on my 3 way and hot dogs. So that was the first straw then they didn’t add any onions to either as I asked.
Tone continued to add ice to my drink after I asked him not to. The first hot dog was soggy after sitting in the chili that was spilled onto the plate. They served this to me as if this was a regular thing. So all in all I give the service & food a 0.5 out of 10. That’s because the business is in a pretty descent area. Tone & Bee both could careless about great customer service or satisfaction. I would recommend that no one ever hire either of the two people. Epically Bee. Also bathroom had a feeling like it was in a hole in the wall by the way it looked. I know restaurants are short on employees but Bee was just up front with not a lot to do so in my opinion she could have easily gone and checked the bathroom.

I am disappointed. My large $8 salad was as skimpy as I’ll get out. On top of it being skimpy, I only got cucumbers and cheese! I had to ASK for my other toppings (onions and cheese) since they didn’t get it right. I asked for the most simplest salad on the menu. I was given WHITE ONIONS for my salad since they didn’t have any red ones. Go figure.

Then I was given the lemons that were already squeezed it seems.

Was promptly seated when I arrived. Sat for 15 minutes while the waitress doddered about the other sparsely occupied tables. Never even acknowledged my existence…completely invisible. Got up and left…pretty sure they didn’t notice that either .

First time trying Cincinnati Chili and I was pleasantly surprised: I loved it! Great flavor. I got the 5 way which is an addition of onions and beans.
The service was nice and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience start to finish. Will return.

It was very good, for a 1st-timer. I liked the coney dog better, but the chili 4-way was good. It was thinner chili than I am used to, but I did like the spices in it – they are not expected. Not too hot, just different!

Took about 35 minutes for someone to come take our order, and probably another 30 before we even got our food. Server forgot our drinks, messed up my order, and the cook ended up bringing us our food because the server wasn’t actually doing anything. She would take someone’s order, put it through to the kitchen, then go disappear in the back and do nothing while we all waited for her to take the rest of our orders. There were about eight other tables who were waiting even to get their order placed. She focused on the large party that came in and got their drinks and food right away while the rest of us waited. Some got up and left; we didn’t because we’d already ordered our food. Slowest service I’ve ever seen. Won’t be coming back.

Skyline is the archetype of Cincinnati chili. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. At this location, the restaurant was very clean and bright, service was quick and friendly even though they were busy, and, of course, the food was great. I had the small 5 way and a chili cheese coney, which was a large meal, but worth it.
