The only question I have is how can such a beautiful location serve something that I wouldn’t even call food? It was just disgusting slop that’s impossible to eat. Reheated, clearly old frozen meals — and they charge $27 for that. That’s what you get here. Honestly, you’d be much happier just stopping at a Subway on the way to the Grand Canyon — at least there you’ll actually enjoy your meal.
As for the service — that’s a whole separate disaster.
We stood at the entrance for about 15 minutes while no one was at the front desk, and at least four servers passed us by without even saying “hello.” There were seven more people waiting for a table on the stairs, just like us, completely ignored. Then with a rude face the person from front desk with long hair finally gave us a table .
When the food finally arrived, they didn’t even bring utensils. I get that what they served wasn’t exactly “food,” but still — eating chicken and potatoes with your hands isn’t ideal. After we asked, they finally brought utensils… but only for my husband. Then the waiter actually asked if I needed them too — for chicken and potatoes! Absolutely ridiculous. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED
From the moment we arrived, the young hostess and our assigned waitress were noticeably rude and unwelcoming. Their tone, body language, and overall attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing them simply by being there. After ordering, I was served a lemonade that tasted disgusting and was brought in a visibly dirty glass with stains on it. That was enough for me to do something I’ve never done before, cancel my food order and just pay for the drink.
I do want to recognize that another waitress who helped process the cancellation was kind and professional, and I appreciated her response. However, when my original server was informed, she rolled her eyes and gave me the dirtiest look.
The views at Eagle Point are breathtaking, but this was the worst service I’ve experienced at a restaurant. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, because a destination this beautiful deserves far better hospitality.
That said, the food itself was very average — it tasted like basic frozen meals that had been reheated. Definitely not what you’d expect at the price point. You’re not getting a gourmet experience here, but it’s clear you’re mostly paying for the unbeatable view.
Overall, it’s worth it for the scenery and the experience, just don’t come expecting an exceptional meal.
