Had a private room/event booked months in advance. When we arrived we were told they double booked and we could only have the space for 2 hours.
The place is not in good shape, the lights are dim to hide how disgusting everything is, and there’s very little space to move around.
They don’t serve food, so you bring your own, but they don’t have anything to set up for serving, so if you didn’t bring your own extension cords and serving utensils, you’re out of luck.
The bartenders and servers were friendly at least. But, they were out of several items and the bartender made the worst Long Island Iced Tea I’ve ever had.

Nice place to see a small concert. Saw the JJR band! Acoustics were awesome! Never had an empty drink glass! Waitresses were friendly. My only issue is they dont serve food. Excellent experience otherwise.

Avoid for Events–Last-Minute Cancellation Ruined Our Night
We booked the private space at Sky Music Lounge months in advance for a large group celebration (20+ people), complete with deposits and detailed planning. Everything seemed confirmed via email and phone follow-ups. Then, just one hour before our event, they called to say they’d given our reserved space away to another party–with zero warning, no alternatives offered, and no refund options discussed upfront.
This left our group scrambling with no venue, no time to pivot, and a lot of disappointed guests turning up empty-handed. The lack of accountability was shocking; their response was a vague apology without any real resolution or compensation. If you’re considering this spot for birthdays, reunions, or any group event, steer clear. Reliability is everything for special occasions, and Sky Music Lounge failed spectacularly here.
Instead of canceling outright, they tried to squeeze us into the main lounge area like it was some kind of favor. The live band was blasting at ear-splitting levels the entire night; conversation was literally impossible. We couldn’t hear the person sitting right next to us, let alone carry on a celebration. People were shouting, covering their ears, and many ended up leaving early. What was supposed to be a joyful milestone event turned into an embarrassing, stressful disaster.
The lounge might work for casual drop-ins or solo band nights, but for anything requiring trust in bookings? Look elsewhere–plenty of better options in Ballwin for events without the drama. Save yourself the headache.

Update: December 2023. The place is much much cleaner. Actually saw people running around with cleaning spray periodically. It’s much improved. I was disappointed that the wait staff never approached my table to ask me for a drink. I had to go to the bar. I was there for 2.5 hours roughly. I’m happy they’re improving.
This place has lots of potential but overall it’s run down and dirty. It doesn’t cost anything to clean and to do some general maintenance. The bathrooms are some of the worst I’ve ever seen.
I will say the wait staff is always extremely prompt and friendly. After you get past the Karen at the front door the place is pretty fun.

Had a reservation for a family event. When we arrived was told the room was double booked. Offered us the back of the main room or to leave. What a joke. We stayed as our family had no othe place at the time. Bar tab was in correct was charged for drinks we did not order.
We will not return and beware they will rip you off and leave you high and dry.

I went there to see my friend’s band. I had a question about the menu. The waitress was like we don’t serve food but you can order food to be delivered. Then she kept going to each of her other customers and never came back to me. I had to go to the bar for my next drink.

Great music venue. I was disappointed in the bartender. I was charged for 4 drinks that I did not order. When I explained they should be on another persons tab nothing was done to resolve the issue. I knew the people who had ordered the drinks and they did not request the charges on my tab so I paid even though the bar charged them incorrectly. I believe the employee should have made the correction.

The band Side Hussle was on the 1!! Playing 80s & 90s…The crowd was up & dancing having a good time. Mark, bartender made me a delicious drink 2x (mocktail) the servers were very friendly. It was only $5 to get in, so bring cash!! The Sky Bar doesn’t serve food, so make sure u eat b4 coming out or u can bring food inside venue…Clancy’s next door to order food from but they close at 8p(fyi). The Sky Bar is Fri/Sat only (I think) The setup is nice, but seating is limited cuz ppl RSVP tables…I had a nice time solo, but made friends while out…of course ! I was looking for a good place to hangout without going far from home, mission accomplished !!

Paid $28.00 to see a band ..luckily we had reserved space..although people standing right over my chair ..brathing down my neck..they over booked the show… we completely over capacity..didn’t have a dance floor because too many people standing around..couldn’t move..I most likely won’t be back..the whole evening was uncomfortable and ruined
