Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head’s newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you’ve stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine.

Skull Creek Dockside is great!! I definitely would recommend coming here if you love all sorts of seafood dishes, as well as barbecue, apparently! We didn’t get any BBQ on our recent visit but according to reviews (and our waiter), they smoke everything in-house and it is VERY good. So next time!!

I was satisfied but disappointed at the same time. First of all, the service was excellent! Waitress took good care of us. For the food, appetizers were also excellent, had the fried shrimp and calamari, and fried chicken livers. But for the entrées, we got the stuffed flounder casino and the shrimp and grits. I was sadly disappointed on the portion size of the stuff flounder for its price. No bigger than my palm. The saving grace on that plate was the mash. The shrimp and grits was ehhhh had better.

I have been to Hilton Head many times and tried many different restaurants but had never been here. Just found it in a guide book for restaurants on the island. Menu sounded great. I had the special pulled pork nachos and they were really good. My waitress was great very nice answered all my questions and was very helpful. Loved the outdoor dining atmosphere very nice and relaxing. Views were beautiful. I definitely would love to come back and try again for dinner sometime and try something different. The entire menu sounded good

Our food was pretty good, but the service was slow. It’s a little pricey given the basic food that is served. The redeeming quality is the view sitting outside. That was nice. Not my first choice, but an ok place to have dinner.

Huge restaurant on the water, big menu selection, we had the seared salmon and fish and chips, they were great. Kirk was our server. He did a great job explaining the menu. Expect to wait before getting seated.

This was our last night and we wanted some great food and view! They provided all and then some. We ordered a little of everything from drinks to appetizers entrée and dessert. I meant to take pictures of our food but it came out and smelled so good we started eating. I would definitely recommend if you are in HHI to definitely eat here!!! I will be back.

I used to work at this location when it was a different restaurant. It was fun to see the unique changes the SERG group made. Brian waited on us and he was great. Very attentive, friendly, and had a great personality. The gift shop inside has some unique items, including jewelry. Bathrooms and overall restaurant were clean.
