Dairy free review: I came to try the apple dumpling. Swapped the custard for dairy free vanilla bean ice cream and dairy free whipped cream. OMG, they are on point! Most DF ice creams are lackluster…but this was legit! Creamy, smooth. You’d never know it was non-dairy. The 30 minute drive was 100% worth it. They also gave a cute “First Visit” sticker to my girl on her parfait when we said it was her first time at Skoops. Super friendly staff, excellent service, excellent deserts.

I have been very disappointed lately. Everytime I have ordered in the last few months the descriptions have not been matching the food or the order is wrong. Last year I got the warm apple dumpling and it was amazing. Probably my favorite dessert they ever released. This year I have tried it 3 times and each time the dumpling is ice cold. When my husband got back with our order tonight( we live 5 mins from the store) I called. The girl I talked to told me they don’t not warm them up for to-go orders. Every order there is technically a to-go order because they are not a true sit down establishment. She said they put the ice cream on the side so I could heat it up at home. The issue is they top the dumpling with a lot of whipped cream so when you heat it up it ends up getting soggy and tastes like rancid milk. I told her that and she just said sorry they shouldn’t have put it there. That was that. Unfortunately for me it means I won’t be ordering anymore when my family goes there. I can’t eat ice cream and I do not like spending money out for food that isn’t not right. I hope that the owner will re evaluate this policy. Maybe even have your staff ask if we want the item warmed up when ordering.

I’m not a huge Ice Cream person like the rest of my family but Skoops never disappoints its my favorite place ! They are always creating something new and winning awards for it too.. with fall we LOVE pumpkin, I got the pumpkin roll ice cream with added pecans on top and my husband got the pumpkin pie sundae, they were both amazing

A small ice cream bar but with some very creative sundaes. The ice cream here is somewhere between the texture of a hard scopp and soft serve, which is actually really pleasant. The cheesecake sundae is surprisingly good. The cheesecake itself was just really nice on its own. You also got a choice of any topping on it. The chocolate lava sundae had a giant chocolate chip cookie with a gooey center, which was also very good. A sundae here is quite large and can easily be shared between 2 people.

We rode our bikes here from the towpath trail. It’s really easy to get there from the trail only about 3-5 minute ride from the trail head. Ice cream was great, excited to try more kinds. I’ve heard great things about this place and was happy to finally be able to go and we will definitely be back!

Always enjoy going to Skoops. They have a great selection of ice cream. They rotate in different sundaes regularly and they are so yummy. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Update: Stopped in and got something in the fall menu. I picked up a Caramel Apple Pie sundae and it was excellent. I might have had too much apple pie if thats a possibility lol.

New Future Now
Absolutely amazing experience here, the worker went above and beyond for our daughter. , She was kind and interactive with her and even added little eyeballs on the ice cream that our daughter really liked. Thank you so much!! Haven’t gotten to get out much, been working a bunch, this is a great start to our daddy daughter day.
By the way, the carrot cake ice cream that the worker recommended ended up being really really good.
The Barberton dog was put together well and wasn’t super messy. (Well, a hotdog like that it’s hard to not be messy but the point being is the presentation was clean and neat. Photo was taken after I walked to our car with the food)
Food was fresh and delicious. Our daughter asked for a hot dog with ketchup and cheese on it and she didn’t get too much of either. It was literally the perfect amount for both.
Today was a little chilly outside so wasn’t too too busy, although it’s starting ti fill up now. They were very fast, efficient, clean, and friendly. 10/10 recommended!! Bonus points for being able to be so kid friendly

Skoops Ice Cream is hands-down one of my favorite spots! The massive selection of delicious flavors keeps me coming back—they always have something new and amazing to try, like a special that’s too good to pass up. Their sundaes are huge (which I love), but I’m thrilled they now offer smaller sizes for when I want a lighter treat. The owners are genuinely wonderful—not only are they super nice to customers, but you can see how well they treat their staff, which really shines through in the vibe here. I also adore how they support other local businesses by sourcing ingredients from them—it’s clear they care about the community. The staff goes above and beyond with friendliness, and my kids are obsessed with the stickers they hand out. Skoops is a gem—can’t recommend it enough!

It’s a great place to visit and get an ice cream,but there are several options to choose from and food as well . I absolutely loved the 50s and 60s music on there outside speaker . I will for sure go back again.
