Very tasty and fresh food. I had an authentic, Gyro. Not frozen meat. It was so fully loaded, I could hardly get a bite on it. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. So many other items on the menu to choose from. I originally thought about getting a burger or chicken sandwich, but was surprised to find Gyros were served, as well.

Good food! We stopped for a bite while in town. Everything we had was really good. I recommend the waffle fries, they’re seasoned like Arby’s curly fries, but better! The inside is pretty cool, very cozy, made me feel like I was in the bar on Huey Lewis & the News’ Sports.

Is this what they consider a pitcher? I paid $12 for the pitcher on the left. I complained to the bartender asking why my friends pitcher (right) had more in it and she just said that they got lucky. Didn’t even fill 2 cups.

Awesome late night place. That being said there’s always a line out there which is to be expected- but the greasy food is so worth it. Sometimes they’ll mess up your order which is a pain if you realize it when you get home. Get the waffle fries and cheese sauce- they’re a must.

Skipper’s is an uptown haunt I sometimes forget about and take for granted… but it’s definitely my favorite pub/bar on High Street! Have wound up here at the end of the night so many times during college with a delicious heap of waffle fries and a gyro. Trivia nights, drag shows, bar hopping, it’s just a great place to people watch. Friendly and fast service with patient staff who know how to deal with belligerently drunk fools. Definitely worth coming back to reminisce 🙂

I love everything on the menu. Try the reuben. It’s amazing. My go to menu item is the mushroom and Swiss burger but the gyros are great and filling and the turkey bacon club you cannot go wrong with!
