I got the Loaded Mess Friday special with pulled pork and all the fixings and it was delicious. The bbq sauces were also very good. A must stop if you’re in Muscatine. I’ll definitely be back to try other stuff

Layout and traffic pattern is confusing. Food was very good, prices were high but portion size for the price was very good. Plan on $20 pretty person. Menu is available online.
$5.50 for large soft drink.
Restroom is on another floor.
Outdoor patio seating is available if weather permits

Damn! This place is in Muscatine?!! Smells so good when you walk in & tastes even better. We had ribs, brisket, burnt ends & pulled pork. All good but the ribs & brisket were our favorites. The sides were delicious too. Potato salad & crispy Brussel sprouts!
We can’t wait to go back.

I had the pulled pork and hubby had the ribs. The meat was cooked great and we loved that. Tender and good.

Mac and cheese was not very cheesy, liked the noodles. The sauces were either too sweet and the tangy was too mustardy. Did not try the spicy.
The tea was too watery and weak.

The serving sizes were huge and good sizes.

The customer service was exceptional and they were super friendly and had excellent service, there are beautiful river views. The atmosphere was great and we were able to take the food into the bar and the access to the bar next door.

For the price I felt it was way more expensive than what we normally pay at a bbq. 3/5

Blowin’ it outta the park!! Sauces have slamming flavor, smokin’ good pulled pork sandwiches, and savory sides! Gotta try if you haven’t visited bc this is a little BBQ treasure for Muscatine and they have such a great atmosphere, with excellent Midwest hospitality! Staff is always friendly and you feel the love in the food! Thank you for this incredible place!

I don’t know what happened this day but the only thing that was good was the service. I can’t believe people say that they have huge portions when you literally get four pieces of burnt ends and two pieces of brisket which was mostly fat. The burnt ends were totally burnt. It was tougher than jerky and the mac & cheese was dry. My friend got the turkey which she enjoyed other than that. It was a horrible first experience $50 for two people.

My coworkers raved about this place on past trips to Muscatine so I had to try it out. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and a perfect portion size. The staff was very friendly and helpful when giving suggestions on what to try on the menu.

The restaurant is located in the Pearl Plaza and seating is around the corner from where you order (a little disorienting at first). The food is pricey, but worth it if you want great barbecue from a local establishment.

First time visiting Muscatine and a local on the street recommended this restaurant. Let me tell you they knocked it out of the park!! The building is stunning and the workers were so kind and speedy. The BBQ was some of the best I have EVER had and that’s saying a lot!! My group ordered the nachos, brisket & ribs, brisket & pulled pork, and the buffalo cauliflower. The portions were huge and The homemade BBQ sauce was to die for. Will definitely stop here again when I’m in town next!

Spent one night in town. Decided to try Skinnys. The surrounding area is pretty cool. Lots of neat old buildings and food options to explore. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich, and I tried the rib/brisket combo. The wife enjoyed her pulled pork. My brisket was pretty dry, but the ribs were really good. Also had the Mac n Cheese, which was excellent. Cucumber salad was also on point. Skinny’s is located in a neat old building. There is seating inside and out. The river is visible when sitting outside. It’s clean and the staff was super friendly.

Proofsocial was the best part.
What I smelled when I walked in made me believe that my pulled pork with coleslaw on it Yes I did do that would be great and it was.
The brisket plate was +skinny-and if what adjacent to it was Long John silver’s crumbles it would be great but it will end up being horrible brussel sprouts burnt and god awful.
The armadillo eggs were pretty good probably cooked a little too long I mean depending on how you like you’re bacon
That place cost us $80 not worth it Proofsocial I think we are into them for 30 is all right
The waffle fries were colorful but eh.
Back too, There’s a cool tavern you can sit in while you’re trying to figure out what you’re going to do I guess there’s a wine place upstairs also Cool vibes
