Skillets in Sarasota is hands down one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in town. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly even though they were busy. Everything from the omelets to the pancakes was cooked perfectly.
What truly made the experience exceptional was Sarah, our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. Her positive attitude and great service really stood out and made our morning that much better.
If you are looking for a great meal with outstanding service in Sarasota, Skillets is the place to go. We will definitely be back

Great gluten free options. Likely one of the best GF blueberry pancakes around. They have GF waffles, GF biscuits that are also tasty. Chicken apple sausage is good. Actually we haven’t had a bad meal yet. Strong coffee, too!! I am not celiac but did ask and they cook their GF separately.

Ok breakfast. The food is a little on skimpy size for the price. Service was great and they leave a coffee carafe with you which is nice. Loved the scones. The specials menu doesn’t include the coffee on the weekends.

1/18/26 Excellent experience! Reserved the back room for a family gathering of 20 people with Jennifer who is super easy to work with, polite, personable and helped book the reservation 3 weeks in advance. Day of event, table placement was as requested to ensure easy group communication, waitress was super good, efficient, polite with the food prepared as orders were placed and on the table within a super impressive 10 minutes — crazy fast especially considering it was Sunday morning, the restaurant was very busy with people waiting to be seated the whole time our group was there. The waitress was extremely nice, handled meal delivery and special requests like a pro and even took group photo for us. The food was hot, very appetizing presentation, and delicious. Hats off to manager Jennifer and her crew including the waitress, two bus persons, and behind the scenes the chef/cook.

Incredible service as soon as you walk in the door. Very prompt and friendly. I am gluten free and the gf pancakes were amazing (Apple cinnamon). Never felt sick afterwards. The bacon on the side was delicious. Not sure where they get their bacon or how they make it, but it’s a must have. The orange juice was also freshly squeezed and wonderful. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

What a terrific place! Warm friendly service (with Vitalii (sp?), our waitress). My husband had the delicious bacon avocado, Swiss omelette and I had scrambled eggs and rye toast. Everything is real. Everything is fresh. The coffee is outstanding and we brought our dog and they have a very large covered patio. They brought a bowl of water and huge points for having FRESH cut fruit! My parents used to live in Naples and used to rave about the original restaurant and now that they are here in Sarasota, I’m a huge fan and will definitely be back as much as possible!

Skillets is our go-to place for breakfast. I always get the potato pancakes cuz they are the best!!! And the bacon is just so delish!! We prefer this location (Tamiami Trail) to the Venice location mostly because its less hectic. Both locations have great food, service and atmosphere.

My friend and I like to try out places we haven’t been yet. We were so pleased the minute we walked in. Greeted warm. The food was above our expectaion for breafast..with many choices, lunch and breakfast. Super service as well, we also bought the coffee sooo good. We will def return.
