Skeeters, founded in 1925, is a national treasure. We loved the uniquely delicious hot dogs which were really affordable. We paid about $20 for a great meal. Recommendations: try the Works and the Journey) and the chocolate malt!

A great place to get Hot Dogs a an amazing price anyone can afford. The red hot dogs are amazing. Love the chili on the dogs. Services is fast and friendly. We will be back when passing. The shop has a great old time feel. Wish there were more like this.

This is a 100 year old gem! when you step in, you are transported back to a simpler time. We loved the food, had great service, and everyone was so kind to our kids. The food we got was well worth the price we paid. If you’re in the area, stop in!

We’ve been through a few times wanting to try Skeeters. We were told by some folks that they were the best in town. However our experience was not. We waited for almost 40 mins for 8 hot dogs…. and 4 of those were plain. The lady who took the order was very rude acted likey husband was a bother to her. (There were only a few people they weren’t busy at all) When we got the hot dogs they were tough. The buns were warmed so long the started to get chewy. The whole experience was so unfortunate. We were so excited. But I don’t think we will be back. We will go down the road to Burger Express/ Frozen in Time.

Definitely found a cool little spot for lunch today. A 100 year old hotdog stand. Actually it was my second time here. I tried a bacon cheese dog on a pretzel roll, it was really really good, the pretzel roll bun was a nice twist and the bacon on top of the cheddar cheese was great. It kinda has the vibe of like an old soda fountain drink place. Staff was super friendly and I was in and out in maybe 7 minutes. Awesome little spot and I can’t wait to try some different items off the menu next trip down to Wythsville.

I was in town on a business trip and happened to stumble upon this place—and wow! The chili dogs were top-tier, and the atmosphere and people were absolutely fantastic. I live four hours away, and I’ll definitely be planning a weekend trip back. Highly recommended—if you’re in town, don’t pass this up!

On a day that was one of the darkest days in a long time for my family…turned in to a memorable one thanks to Skeeters Hot Dogs. We had to put our oldest dog to sleep today. We were very hungry and we agreed to stop and get a hot dog. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The waiter and staff were so incredibly nice and patient. Hot dogs are very good…the service is incredible!!!

Love the old style downtown restaurant and the dogs and fries were delicious. The only issue is they were pretty slow. There were not enough people working the counter at lunch. Only 1 actually. They finally got some help in the back and one of them came up to the front to help. We watched people leave because they say to long waiting to order. Love the music, the food and the atmosphere at this place.
