Make sure you make reservation ahead of time or the wait could be long. Depends on how busy they are, service could be slow as well, but nothing can beat bbq meat on charcoal. The flavor and the smoke make it so yummy!
There are also lots of street parkings nearby and behind the restaurants.
Premium 55/person before tax
Steamed egg is delicious
Seoul Kalbi is delicious
Other meats are trash. All the premium wagyu doesn’t have marble. Super lean meat.
Rib finger is impossible to chew
Brisket is hard to chew
Steak is thin sliced and hard to chew
Adult dinner $55 a head
jinro $13
cass $9
We had a reservation, but we were sat immediately, with only a few other tables.
Huge downside here…airflow is non-existant. Vents don’t work. Windows are not cracked open. So it is non-stop all smoke.
Salad and steamed egg were good. Banchan was below average.
Cuts of brisket were small and annoying to cook. Meat didn’t come fast enough and double orders were mixed up.
We ended up getting cut off since we were past 90 min and folks were waiting for the next round of seating.
Not sure I will be back based on the smoke, service, and cuts of meat.
Street parking only.
I went to Seoul Kalbi Korean BBQ with my wife to celebrate my birthday. The place looks a bit run down but the food was tasty and the meat quality is high. However midway through our meal my wife noticed a cockroach hanging out on the electrical outlet right behind me. I freaked out and notified the staff. One of the servers was unphased – he simply put on gloves and grabbed a napkin to try to kill it. He barely succeeded. I voiced my displeasure and disgust about this situation and she shrugged and said they haven’t seen any cockroaches in the kitchen.
My wife lost her appetite and I struggled to finish the last plate of meat we ordered before we spotted the roach. The server could tell I looked disturbed so he said he’d give us a discount. When we got the bill the employee discount was applied and we got $22 off. We still owed ~$98. I should have just walked out with my wife but I decided not to cause a scene and just paid the bill.
This was a baby cockroach – highly indicative of an infestation. I uploaded the pic of the roach to ChatGPT and it said: “Yes, that’s a German cockroach (Blattella germanica) — the most common indoor cockroach species in many parts of the world.
Key giveaways in your photo:
• Small size (about ½ inch / 13–16 mm)
• Light brown/tan color
• Two distinct dark parallel stripes running from the head down the pronotum (the shield-like part behind the head)
• Long antennae
• It’s a nymph (young one), which is why it doesn’t have wings yet
German cockroaches love warm, humid spots near food and water, and electrical outlets/plates are a favorite hiding and traveling spot for them because the boxes are warm and often have tiny gaps.
Finding one usually means there are many more you’re not seeing. If this is inside your home/apartment, you’ve likely got an infestation that needs to be dealt with quickly (they reproduce very fast)”
We will NOT be returning.
Beware you’ll come out smelling like barbecue so don’t wear nice or new clothes.
Service was good. Food was good. You choose a basic menu or an upgraded one where there is no limit. We chose the upgraded one.
For a table of 6 including tax and tip, we paid $79/each.
Recommend: rib meat, brisket, octopus
Used to the big portions of othwr eat all you can kbbq this might surprise you. Also, it gets really hot inside like really hot as if its a furnace. This is actually good for winter and you’re really cold because its like you’re in front of the fireplace.
Parking is limited too and you need to park on the road when we got there its not that busy so we we were able to get a decent spot.
