I’ve ordered from here several times over the years but only just thought to add a review. In the past I’ve gotten the oxtail but today they didn’t have any so I went for curried goat. It’s soooo good. I got the rice and beans and cabbage for sides and they were both super fresh and delicious as usual. The portions are huge! You could easily buy one and split it between two people. I’m selfish so I’m keeping the whole thing for myself. I now have dinner for today and tomorrow. Highly recommend stopping by.

Came here for the first time and the food did not disappoint! I’m sure it is not all made on that day. But it is the kind of food that you could keep in a pot on the stove and re-heat it for tomorrow! People did that back in the day!
This is a Caribbean cuisine place. So it may not be as overly seasoned as most of the Latino places around might be.
Had the Curried Chicken with rice and beans as well as a potato salad. Potato salad had a refreshing taste about it. Chicken literally fell off the bones. And the rice & beans is about what you’d expect from anywhere.
The food quality isn’t exactly restaurant quality. But it was great regardless and I would certainly consider trying out more of their menu!

This is the third time my order has been cancelled through Doordash because they fail to update their proper days and hours. I don’t get my money back the same day and have to wait for a refund since Doordash will not issue credits through a system cancellation. I’ve had enough of this and will no longer be supporting this business due to the multiple inconveniences.

I recommend Sizzling Island for delicious ‘islandish’ tasting foods and a pleasant experience! Their mac & cheese has a unique twist and is very good, as well as their mushroom rice & jerk chicken. Stop over- you will be glad you did!

There oxtails was perfectly tender but no flavor.
Rice a beans was bland a cabbage was no flavor.
I also brought a jerk chicken platter. The chicken was flavorful but also it was just regular baked chicken with jerk sauce on top.

We’ve purchased the oxtail platter multiple times and enjoy it each time. Great fried plantains, black rice, and rice and beans too! Our server at the fairgrounds farmers market always has a smile, is very pleasant, and she makes our ordering process simple and easy.
