It all began on January 27, 1958. With $50 in the cash register, Del and Helen Johnson opened “Sizzler Family Steak House” in in Culver City, California. This was the place where everyone could enjoy a great steak dinner at an affordable price. Today, we strive to serve the best hand-cut steaks at the most affordable price for the whole family with the addition of a broad, all-American menu and an abundance of fresh and healthy options. Sizzler is the restaurant where America comes to satisfy its appetite with U.S.D.A. Choice steaks cut fresh daily and cooked over an open flame, fresh seafood, and premium craft soup and salads prepared fresh daily.

Good food, steak was good! Kids menu was limited to fries and chicken strips for the day. But still good that they get to eat something. Variety of food and it depends what you pick. Lobster was so smaller than expected! Food can little pricey when you plan to take your entire family.

This quaint Sizzler will give you all the 90s and early 00s feels with its streamlined menu and small salad bar. Revisit your childhood with tasty food that equal parts comfort and delicious. Service is excellent. Food is not the finest but enough for kids to feel remarkable and an adult to feel full. This location has great service that is attentive but not too bothersome.

For a staggering $70, I expected a truly memorable dining experience at Sizzler. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. While the 8oz steak and Malibu chicken were okay, the steak had some grill marks, but the food fond is made naturally and is delicious, unlike the years of charcoal-burned marks on steaks. The real disappointment lay in the salad bar with empty and soggy featured salads and overall value. The salad bar, a once-beloved feature, was significantly smaller than other Sizzler locations, offering a limited selection of subpar options. Paying an additional $18 for a second salad bar was a questionable decision, as the quality and quantity were underwhelming. I wish I had known that the hot bar and dessert bar were only one-quarter the size of other locations. The exorbitant price tag for a mediocre meal and a lackluster experience is simply unacceptable. I wish I could have scooped my meal out of the parking lot for a refund. This Sizzler should re-evaluate its pricing strategy and focus on providing better quality, service, and value for its customers.

We haven’t been to a Sizzler in years! Last time I remember we carried tray with drinks & salad plates to our table. This time the server brought us our tray which was nice. My wife ordered a Small Plate entree and came with one trip to salad bar and a drink. She asked if flavored lemonade were option and was told yes. After paying we noticed up-charge for the Peach Lemonade and were sadly surprised. She enjoyed different items from salad bar and only ate a few bites of entree and took remaining home. I ordered steak and chicken entree and unlimited salad and soup bar. I enjoyed several items from the salad & soup bar, including fruit and desert. I also only took a few bites of my entree and took majorly home. Our server was great at bringing fresh salad plates and good at drink refills. There were a few other tables of customers and several open tables. While we were still eating another employee came around vacuuming and did so around our table, it was too close for comfort as felt could have waited to not vacuum so close to our table. My wife was close to asking her to not vacuum so close to our table and she decided not to say anything. Overall was a good experience and we talked about why we had stopped coming here and expect to return.

The service at the order area was so bad that I canceled the order and left. You have to prepay for food here like a fast food restaurant. The prices in the restaurant were 20% higher than what they are on the corporate website menu. I mentioned this, and showed the order taker the prices on the website from my phone. She told me they don’t set the prices and they are what they are. I was trying to order the Ribeye and they asked me what side I wanted. I asked for a salad, they told me a salad was not one of the available sides. I asked how much it would cost to add a small salad and they told me $11. I didn’t want to eat here, but thought I’d try it because it was the only restaurant within walking distance of my hotel. When I was a kid, Sizzler’s were everywhere like Denny’s, now I know why they’re all gone. What a joke, stay away and save yourself the trouble! Door Dash to the rescue.

Here’s a staple Restaurant in our City, Sizzler has been in San Bernardino for decades and again I am surprised that I’ve never did a review. Sizzler offers an extensive menu options but we always seems to get the Salad Bar Buffet which in itself has so many delicious choices to choose from. The staff are friendly and kind. Hungry for good food?
