It all began on January 27, 1958. With $50 in the cash register, Del and Helen Johnson opened “Sizzler Family Steak House” in in Culver City, California. This was the place where everyone could enjoy a great steak dinner at an affordable price. Today, we strive to serve the best hand-cut steaks at the most affordable price for the whole family with the addition of a broad, all-American menu and an abundance of fresh and healthy options. Sizzler is the restaurant where America comes to satisfy its appetite with U.S.D.A. Choice steaks cut fresh daily and cooked over an open flame, fresh seafood, and premium craft soup and salads prepared fresh daily.

Come for the salad bar. Lots of variety. And worth it. But don’t order the steak. We ordered the NY strip after being recommended that selection, and I’ve had better steaks in truck stops. Each bite took forever to chew, even though it was medium, and I kept having to pull strings & chunks out of my mouth because I was unable to break them down or swallow them. It was disheartening. This wasn’t a cheap meal. There’s one charge for the salad bar then another for the meat. Never coming back. Our service, Daniel, was amazing. Very courteous. So this is no reflection on him.

Stopped by Sizzler on Saturday for lunch around 11:30am. It wasn’t very busy when I arrived, though it started to pick up as I was leaving.
Prices have definitely gone up—my 6oz steak with the salad bar and a drink came out to just over $32 for one person, which felt a bit steep. The steak itself was good and cooked well, and the service was friendly and attentive.
That said, the salad bar was disappointing. The lettuce and greens were extremely wet—so much so that it felt like eating soggy salad. A better job drying the produce would make a big difference.
Overall, decent meal and good service, but the value and salad bar quality could use some improvement.

This Sizzler was wonderful, the staff clearly cared about the customers.
It was clean and the food served hot and great, with a huge salad bar that was fresh and clean, just down from Knotts Berry Farm in Bunea Park California.
Maybe there is hope for the Sizzler chain.

Amazing food! It really surprised me on how good the steak and lobster tail was. I would drive there again 60+ miles away to get it again. Great price. Pay the extra 10 bucks and get the Ny steak. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed.

A great value for the price. Salad bar is clean and well stocked. Excellent dessert options. We have never been disappointed. Jennifer has been our server multiple times and she is so sweet. She always goes above and beyond, give her a raise!

Overall, this place was pretty great. I had read they have menudo but sadly when I was there they didn’t have any. I had a burger that was char grilled, and it was great, but the salad bar was equally amazing. I would absolutely come again everyone was really nice .

I really miss the vegetarian restaurant Soufflé, but I can get a little taste of it at Sizzler…

It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but I like the atmosphere and the taste is always the same.
Best food very cheap warm and delicious soup Thank you for the kind service of the elderly servers. We go often without worrying about my wallet.
I go about twice a month, and the salad for health is fresh, and the clam chowder soup is especially delicious.

This location on Orangethorpe Avenue in Buena Park is awesome! The service, salad bar, and hot entrees were all delicious. The salad bar is immaculately clean, stocked, and offers plenty of choices. The baked potato was delicious. The angus burger, excellent. Chris, our server, was terrific. This place is clean, enjoyable, and well managed. This location will not disappoint.

From the owner Sergio all the way down to all the servers this place has great customer service and amazing food. My favorite servers are Jennifer. Christian Daniel Sandra Diane, Vanessa, juanito and Andress The steak and all you can eat shrimp is the best deal for the money. The unlimited salad bar is amazing.
