Best in town. Speedy service and food is really good. Garlic naan is one of the best. Chicken makhani tasted good. The condiments for paneer bajji and onion pakora are very fresh and tasty. Price little higher but overall quality of the food is very good
Ambience is darker and quiet, ample of seats and free parking lot.
A must visit if you are around the place.

Highly recommend this restaurant! We had the Sizzle platter, Masala balti with paneer and rice, Alu Gobi with naan, and the gulab jumun dream for dessert, and all were very good. Helpful quick service.

STOP SCROLLING- if you ended up looking here while looking for Indian cuisine you have found exactly what you are looking for. Spice levels come in Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot, and Extra Extra Hot. I suppose I’m used to Very Hot and Very Very Hot because I got Extra Hot, but truly I wish I would have gotten Extra Extra Hot. Absolutely phenomenal, knocked it out of the park! They also have some fusion variety items that I need to try next time. Not open super late so just make sure to come in around 7 at the latest if you’re wanting to sit down. Not that I think your meal would be interrupted at closing time, but you know, manners go a long way. A must-visit for the western exurban Twin Cities for sure.

A Spicy Surprise in Waconia: My First Taste of Sizzle Street

As someone who’s dabbled in a variety of cuisines, I’ve always found myself hesitant when it comes to Indian food—not out of dislike, but simply because it was never my go-to. So when I stumbled upon Sizzle Street in Waconia, Minnesota, I didn’t have high expectations. Let’s be honest—Waconia isn’t exactly known for a bustling international food scene. But what I discovered was nothing short of a culinary gem, the kind you’d expect to find in a foodie haven like Minneapolis or Chicago.

From the moment I walked in, I was taken aback—in the best way. The ambiance was warm, modern, and surprisingly upscale. With its sleek bar and sophisticated decor, the vibe leaned more toward a high-end steakhouse than a traditional Indian restaurant. And that was just the beginning.

We started with a shareable platter of appetizers, and every bite offered something unique. But the standout? The shrimp curry—absolutely divine. Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, it’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal ends.

And then there was the naan. I’m a huge fan of naan to begin with, so when I saw they offered a jalapeño-stuffed version, I had to try it. It lived up to the restaurant’s name—sizzling hot and packed with flavor. That naan alone was worth the visit.

If I had one small gripe, it would be the chai tea, which arrived a little lukewarm for my taste. But honestly, it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise stellar experience.

What truly set Sizzle Street apart, though, was the hospitality. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.

By the end of the meal, I found myself wanting more—not just another serving, but a repeat visit. I’m so glad I didn’t pass this place by. It reminded me of the joy in trying something new and the delicious surprises that can be found in the most unexpected places.

If you’re ever in Waconia—or even remotely nearby—do yourself a favor and check out Sizzle Street. You just might find yourself a new favorite. Cheers!!!

Craving for awesome tikkas and tandoori items, Sizzle street will be a good option to try out. They have a lovely interior, we went there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the place was quite busy. We had Malai chicken tikka with naan and shrimp curry with rice. The tikka was delicious, served on a sizzler plate and had a light gravy and went really well with the garlic butter naan we ordered, which was superb. The shrimp curry was good, shrimps were well done, so won’t recommend this dish although the shrimp was good in size and fresh or you may ask them to not overcook the shrimp. The gravy was kinda ok.
I will definitely visit again to try their other tandoori items, btw they also have pizza which I will definitely try on my next visit.
For folks driving from the twin cities area, it’s a lovely drive to this restaurant. You could add it to your weekend or weekday dinner bucket list

I live in the cities where Indian food is abundant, but work in Waconia—Sizzle Street is one of my most favorite places to eat in Waconia. In fact, one of my most favorite Indian restaurants as a whole!

The pricing of Sizzle Street’s menu is very similar to what you would find at Indian restaurants in the cities. So for me, the pricing is good and fair for the excellent quality you get.

My favorites are the Balti, Korma, and anything on the vegetarian menu. I’m not vegetarian, but Indian cooking makes vegetarian food (and paneer) addicting.

People need to note that though Indian restaurants may have similar menus, the flavors, textures, etc vary region by region. So if your chicken tikka masala taste different from the one you like—that’s why. Southern Indian food for example, is spicier, creamier, uses coconut milk, and offer many seafood options their protein.

Great Indian food in Waconia!

We’ve been to sizzle street a couple times now and so far we have been very impressed. We have made sure to try all sorts of different things and honestly everything has been very enjoyable!

Presentation is very beautiful right off the bat and the flavors all have a lot of depth to them even though some of the dishes are similar.

They have a nice size menu with veggie, chicken, and lamb options for almost every dish. They also have a nice dessert menu as well as cocktails and beer and wine.

The service has been great both times we’ve stopped in and the prices are all very fair for the amount of food you get.

I do wish however the interior had a bit more to it. It’s nice inside but pretty bland which I suspect is because they’re so new. Other than that, we are very impressed with sizzle street, and we’ll definitely become regulars!

Overall this Indian spot is a must have if you’re in the area and honestly is the best Indian place I have had in all of the Midwest (and I have been to over 10)

Let me explain my delights (what I liked) and my tropes (what I didn’t like) and any other thoughts I had.
Delights:
1. The food
The food was quite delicious. Like really really good. It was fresh and authentic and really filled my mouth with wonderful flavors. I feel like this place is the best Indian food I have had in a while. Seriously. I forgot what we all got but look at the pictures and you can see how good the food looks.
2. The smell
The food smells so good that I had to include it in the delights because it’s an incredible smell
3. The service
The guys that help you with your food and table are so kind and generous. Our group wanted to do traditional family style Indian food with their dishes and the waiters quickly accommodated us. Our waiter was really nice.

Tropes:
1. The AI art.
This place, very weirdly, uses AI art in the restaurant to decorate. I am not a big fan of AI art because it takes away from actual artists or real memorabilia. That is a personal preference but you understand the point.
2. The atmosphere in the restaurant
Inside the restaurant, it feels very bland for an Indian restaurant. I think that it needs some more decor and more things to look at.
3. The mango mousse sponge cake
I heard online that this mango mousse cake was gonna be amazing so I ordered it. It was okay at best. Don’t get me wrong, our actual food was incredible but the mango mousse cake was really meh. It didn’t have a good mango flavor and was pretty bland. It was spongy and whoever baked the sponge part of the cake did a really nice job but the flavors weren’t there.

This being said this restaurant was still incredible, especially for being in Waconia MN. Definitely would recommend to go there. 8.9/10.

Had an amazing meal with my girlfriend recently when we visited for the first time for dinner. Food was truly amazing and very authentic. I have travelled through much of India and this food was “spot on “ and we can’t wait to go back again. Wonderful service and the family who run this place really enjoy what they do and it shows in both the food and service very seriously.
