Great vibes and energy, classic “american tavern” vibe. Great cocktails, beer and whiskey selections. Hearty food at reasonable prices. For what you get in food and ambiance, the pricing is great. The staff is super friendly, make great recommendations & add to the overall feel of the restaurant.

I just checked it out for the first time after seeing their advertised Happy Hour on their window. Half off beer, wine, cocktails, discounted apps, and 99 cent wings with no minimum order.
I had 8 of their tangy Carolina wings to start which were so good I ordered 6 more. I also had a blood orange mule which was good but I switched to a rum punch after. I do wish they had mint so they could do mojitos though.
I also had their pierogi app which is on happy hour, definitely an elevated version of traditional pierogi with bacon and other things.
I sat at the bar and the other patrons were very friendly, definitely gave neighborhood dive bar vibes. The bartenders were nice, I had 2 different bartenders (shift change I’m guessing) everything I ordered came fast and accurate. No complaints.
Tldr if you’re looking for a great value with warm neighborly vibes check out this place, especially during happy hour.

Tasty American Food Joint. Serves the specialty in forms of Tavern – Wings. Had a takeout order for the first time. Food was really good. Quantity is decent. Good variety from salads to American Burgers and the Wings. Their fries are really really delicious. Highly recommended.

Again same experience with food. No doubt its good. But really sad to see such a pathetic service. The attendants were really busy in gossip. I asked for Ketchup and I didn’t even get it. The food was unfortunately the worst part about our experience.
For an appetizer, we ordered the pretzel bites. The Pretzels themselves were good and flavorful. The cheese that is served with it (pictured) was curdled and separated. I did attempt to taste this, but it tasted as one would expect – curdled and separated.
My meal consisted of the tavern burger (ordered medium) with regular fries. The burger was served rare, blood soaked into the bottom bun. The top side of the patty was cooked to charcoal, and the bottom was pleasant and seasoned. There was also a sudden taste of buffalo hot sauce, which is not served with this meal and prompts cross contamination occurring. The fries were cold and old, definitely served from some sort of “stock”.
My wife ordered a grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Her grilled cheese was heavily flavored with lemon, which overtook the whole sandwich. Again, prompting cross contamination at some step in the process. As for her soup, it tasted as if it was made from blended and warmed up unripe tomato’s.
Total meal was 50$ before tip.

Located in Paradise Green in Stratford is this awesome little hot spot! Food selection is fantastic and has interesting variety! Drinks were great and poured generously. Great atmosphere, nice bar and bar seating for meals. Goat cheese salad was delicious – would definitely order again. Bang Bang shrimp appetizer was fantastic! Great special selections and seasonal drink specials too. We very much enjoyed and will come back.

Whenever my husband and I are in Stratford we go here. The staff is friendly, service is great and the food is consistently good. I had the calamari last time I was there and it was the best I’ve ever had- tender, juicy, well flavored with the right amount of crispness. It makes my mouth water every thing I think of the dish.

Sitting Duck is a great restaurant with an interesting menu that is very fitting for the name. Nevertheless the food comes out amazing and has several classic dishes that are a staple to this place, like the beef tips.
Food:
– The food here is awesome, and with their specials that seem to rotate, you’ll always be able to try something new that isn’t normally on the menu.
– I had one of the specials, which was a steak with a special sauce, gorgonzola, potatoes and spinach – cooked excellently and was delicious.
– The beef tips are awesome and never let down, a go to if you aren’t sure what to get!
– The new substitute for the pub chips, Disco Duck, is awesome! Try it out, its a great dish for a family or numerous people!
– Prices aren’t bad at all for the portion sizes and the quality.
Drinks:
– The drink menu here is nice, with a great local selection of beers and local distilleries such as Litchfield Distillery.
– Prices are above-average for the drinks, meaning better bang for the buck and since they’re supporting local places, try out a new brew or whisky!
Service:
– Staff here is nice, and always check up on how things are. Not a bad thing about the service, timing, or accommodations.
– Great effort on the team for handling going up and down stairs every time to serve numerous tables!
