Reviews
The “could have been better”…I like my Indian food spiced, hot and bold, Sitar’s cooking maybe geared to the sissy American palette, the dominant spices of the Punjabi, Mughali, Hyderabad, Goan, Cochin/Kerla regions I’ve come to love and expect are toned down, possibly to meet the tasted of the locals.
Still excellent food, I enjoyed my meal very much, swadish hei!
They pack it in for lunch, so come early, dinner is a little quieter so more buffet, right?
Great staff and reasonable prices make Sitar a “no brainer” for delicious food, great atmosphere and value.
You will walk away content and happy 🙂
I can’t speak to how authentic the food is, but I can tell you it’s always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I usually lean vegetarian, but their tandoori chicken and butter chicken are just too good to skip. I also love their samosas, kheema matar, and chickpea masala—absolutely packed with flavor. And the fresh naan they bring to the table is the perfect complement to every meal.
I always finish off with a scoop of their mango ice cream—YUM.
Parking can be a bit tight during weekday lunch hours, especially if you’re coming for a business lunch, but evenings and weekends are usually fine.
Highly recommend this place if you enjoy great food and consistently great service!

6 years later and the place still maintains quality and diversity
The overall experience was disappointing. Surprisingly, there were no Indian staff members or anyone who seemed to understand Indian food preferences. One of our group members follows Jain dietary restrictions, and when we inquired about Jain food, the manager was completely clueless. When I asked to speak with someone familiar with Indian cuisine, the manager shockingly admitted that no one in the entire restaurant is Indian.
I requested buttermilk, and instead of the traditional Indian version, I was served an Oak Farms ready-made buttermilk, which was awful. When I asked for Nimbu Pani (Indian-style lemonade), the manager had no idea what it was. I then asked for lemonade, only to be served a Minute Maid Pink Lemonade—a completely different drink, We asked for Paratha’s they brought us Frozen Malaysian Paratha. So Frustrating, If I wanted to eat frozen food, I would just buy myself. Next we said get us any breads which are not frozen in wheat, Manager denied again. We stood and left the restaurant.
To the owners: If you are running an Indian restaurant, please have at least one person who understands Indian food! It felt like walking into an English school where everyone speaks Hebrew, and no one knows English—frustrating and baffling. Would not recommend for those looking for an authentic Indian dining experience.
Just look at the Biryani and you will know what to expect. It was just rice with some jeera. (No taste at all)
If you are an Indian or have had Indian food ever, you will hate the food here.
The manager had no clue what masala soda, jaljeera or nimbu pani was.
The only thad was good of all the things was mango ice cream (that also was not that good enough)
The kheema matar is good choice (minced mutton with peas) they buffet is decent around 16$ during weekdays.
They have a good wine and beer selection as well.
I would recommend folks to try a little of all the items first and then settle on what they like.
The naan and roti are served on the table by request.
The service is quick. The place can be crowded at times, so best to be there by 1 and close the lunch by 2/2.15 as they close by 2.30.
They also have vegetarian options.
They either switched off the AC or the temperature increased at around 2 or so.
So be aware of that. The dessert was good as well.
The food is not too spicy so it will suit all palate.
I regretted the experience horribly. I’d never recommend it: never going there again.
