Parking near the establishment is hard on a Saturday. Chances are you’ll have to park a little further out and walk. But overall a good atmosphere. The paintings and decor are amazing. The servers were attentive and refilled our waters more times than I could count. They answered questions well and the food itself was wonderful.

I think Thai is my favorite Asian cuisine due to the complex flavor profile.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally stopped by on a whim. Parking was already frustrating—most spots nearby are either taken or reserved for private use, so it took a while to find one.

When I walked in, I was asked if I was there for pickup. I said I was dining in, and they seated me promptly. The server came by quickly, and I ordered the chicken satay and crab fried rice.

The food was disappointing. The chicken was dry and tough—only the peanut sauce made it edible. The crab fried rice came out soon after and was very average. Nothing worth coming back for.

What really stood out, though, was the complete lack of service. The restaurant was empty, and no one came by to check on me the entire time. I sat there for a while after finishing my meal before the server finally noticed. I asked for a to-go box—she brought the container and check, but no bag.

I usually order dessert wherever I go, but based on the food and the inattentive service, I decided to just pay, leave a tip, and head out. I had hoped for a better experience, especially being the only customer there. Maybe there are better items on the menu, but I don’t plan on coming back to find out.

Sister’s Thai has mastered the art of turning an ordinary weekday lunch into something you actively look forward to.
Let’s start with the weekday lunch special, which is nothing short of a small miracle. It’s generous, beautifully prepared, and delivers the kind of flavor that makes you momentarily forget you’re on a lunch break and not on vacation. The value is outstanding, the portions are deeply satisfying, and the food is consistently excellent—fast enough for a workday, yet good enough to linger over if you’re lucky enough to have the time.
The decor and overall vibe elevate the experience even further. The space is stylish, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—modern without being cold, lively without being overwhelming. It feels intentional, like a place meant to be enjoyed, not rushed through. Whether you’re meeting friends, coworkers, or sneaking away for a solo lunch, it strikes exactly the right balance.
The location is fantastic and easy to get to, which makes it a natural go-to spot. The only caveat is the parking, which can be a bit of a scavenger hunt. That said, any minor inconvenience fades the moment you’re seated and the food arrives—it’s well worth the extra lap or two.
All told, Sister’s Thai delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and value in a way that makes it stand out. Five stars without hesitation, especially for anyone looking to turn a weekday lunch into the best part of their day.

11/10 Amazing! This is our new fave local Thai place. The place is small, but cozy, and the service is always fantastic. I highly recommend their sake selection, their smoothies and milky freezes (especially thai tea freeze), chive dumplings, panang, and cashew tofu! On a hot day, we love coming in to get a cold milky freeze or come have some tea and just hang out. The wait staff is friendly and sweet, the restaurant has pretty decor, and all the food is awesome. Highly recommended! EDIT: I noticed some other customers saying the portion sizes are small. This is likely because they are used to the gigantic portion sizes in America – honestly, they aren’t that small, they seem normal to me.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. It is located near Main Street and University Drive in Fairfax. It has cute interior decor similar to its other DMV location, and the food is good overall. However, on our last visit, we felt the taste of the dishes was stronger and saltier than usual.

I liked the vibe of this place with the bookshelves and all the other decorations. The food tasted good, nothing extraordinary. But I was quite disappointed by the portion sizes, especially for the price. I feel like there are many other Thai places in NOVA and elsewhere that have much bigger portions for that price. It’s a decent enough place, and I don’t want to give a lower rating, but it I would prefer to go some other place if I’m getting the same quality for less. Overall 3.5/5

Great food. The crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli can be ordered now as the Kana Moo grob. You can also get kana moo grob with clear noodles . That’s also very delicious as well. The pad Thai is delicious and the Tom yum soup is very good with some sour taste to it. The mango sticky rice is delicious for dessert. The drunken noodle is especially good here. The noodle is bouncy and chewy and delicious. The Panang Chicken is has a very thin sauce, maybe too watery. The chicken was a little bit dry but the flavor was there. This is a cute little place with great food in Fairfax city. Highly recommend!

★★★★★ Amazing Food & Excellent Service!

I had an incredible experience at this Thai restaurant! Tan provided the best customer service—she was kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the fish, which was cooked to perfection. And the dessert? Simply unforgettable! The flavors were authentic, fresh, and full of delicious Thai spices.

If you’re looking for great food and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended! Thank you, Tan, for making my visit so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Parked next to the building and very tight . Had to do multiple 3 point turns to get out.

Tables for 2 are tiny. I ate my meal off a appetizer dish to conserve space. Request a 4 person table.

I got Crispy Duck. I am used to “crispy” duck. This was like wide sliced pork. Very tender, but no “crispy ” in sight. There might have been a little on the outer edge.

Wife had Chicken curry which was fine. That is always pretty much the same wherever you go which is why my wife always gets it.
