I fell in love with sister soul when I first tried it a couple of months ago. But today was it for me…after having to bring my food back on different occasions for either the taste and texture of the food or the food being over cooked or under cooked. After many failed attempts to make the food correct I finally asked for a refund. The owner wass very rude and difficult to talk to. The owner of the establishment then had the nerve to advised me not to order the item any more, then suggested that I come at a better time as if 2 in the afternoon is not good enough to eat there food anymore when you open at 10!!!! after my visit today and collecting my refund Sister Souls has definitely loss me as a there main customer

I am speaking for a group of 3 of us that ate here yesterday. The meat was really good, but the veggies were so-so. It lacked seasoning. It was very busy, and I loved how quickly the food came out. The staff didn’t slow down. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate it an 8. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but unfortunately, the rating only has 4 or 5 stars. I will be back!!! I went thru the drive thru. The staff are always friendly. I give the food a ten. I had a taste for dressing got some with peas and fried porkchops. The fried cornbread taste like my granny made it. Rest her soul. The closest I can get to home cooking. One meat two sides only 7.99.

Mashed Potatoes – needed more milk, was clumpy and dry
Rice – plain ole rice
Side salad – not even sure what this was. It was a couple of leaves of sad lettuce with a handful of carrots dumped on it

Was fair. I asked for gravy on my potatoes but didn’t get it. Food was delivered in a timely manner.
I’m really not sure how this restaurant has the rating it does. There’s nothing spectacular about the food.

If you’re interested in great food that tastes homemade, this is it. I had the fried chicken tenders with butter beans and collards. The chicken was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The butter beans and collards are like Grandma used to make.
The best part is that all of the prices are more than reasonable.

A great spot for a good southern style lunch. Tried the Chicken Philly and was very impressed. Creamy melted Provolone, sauteed onions and peppers and grilled chicken on a hoagie roll. Have also tried the fried fish, fried chicken, and several of their sides and would recommend trying some for yourself.

I ordered grilled pork chops rutabagas fried okra and sweet tea. Everything was delicious and was brought promptly to the table. I did order a piece of caramel cake it had been in the freezer so it was dry and the icing had sugared so it was not very good but everything else was delicious. The Waitresses were fantastic prompt bringing tea. At the end I did have to get my own tea when I was leaving. Great place to go I highly recommend it

Most of the time when someone recommends a southern homestyle restaurant I stay away because I’m used processesd bland food made en masse.
After many recommendations decided I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. Nothing on my plate was made without passion. From the home-made gravy to real mashed potatoes the food was phenomenal.
The staff was prompt and friendly.
I would go back if I weren’t so full, but will return!
