Sisters BBQ

Great place to eat! Great smoky smells as soon as you walk in. The meat was tender and moist, the Mac and cheese was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were flavorful. We went at 1 when not too many people were there and it still was fresh. Would recommend!

Got the brisket combo, about 16 dollars. . It’s pretty oily but that’s to be expected of a BBQ place. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy, I personally loved it. Would recommend to those visiting town

Not good if you want great BBQ, I had the Carolina BBQ sandwich, the white bread should have been a hoagie roll, it was soggy. Not very good choice, the Cole slaw was dry, no flavor to the pork, no spice. Corn bread was rock hard, no salt, dry as well. Tasted like it was made last week. Best thing was the diet coke. Sorry.

It’s over priced for below average BBQ. When there’s no other competitor of BBQ it’s easy to over look the details. I kind of fells like they just don’t love the meat. I would guess their ordering meat from their wholesaler not spending the time to know where the meat is raised. And the quality that goes into raising meats. Not taking the time to trim. The side are nothing special. Sauce is ok. If I lived locally I would eat here once a year.

Yummy has a place…. I had the Frito Pie. It was enormous and tasty! My wife had the brisket combo. Brisket was quite tasty and moist. Wonderful sauce options: regular was a little sweet, the horseradish one was our favorite and there was one more that we tried that was good for every third bite or so as it was very vinegary. We would recommend all 3.

There’s room for improvement in every area regarding the food. We ordered a 2 meat combo with sausage, brisket, cowboy beans, and cucumber salad to go. Brisket was dry and the caramelization was too hard. Sausage was dry and not super tasty. BBQ sauce was odd. Cowboy beans were pretty good but a little dry as well. Cucumber salad was pretty solid.

For context, I’m from the south and have had some of the best BBQ in the world many times- especially recently. But, Idaho seems to have a lot to learn when it comes to cooking meat!

The food was great but we ended up going towards the end of the day and most items were sold out. We also went in on the 4th of July and they had no one old enough to sell alcohol but the employees still gave great service to all who came in as best they could. I’ll definitely go back but earlier when everything isn’t sold out already.

First, let me start off by saying Sisters is absolutely exquisite! I don’t really like referencing old business, but the previous BBQ restaurant could NOT compare to Sisters. That being said, I regrettably got takeout from Sisters due to the poor service, quality of food, and unreasonable prices of the BBQ place before(Smokey Bone BBQ I believe). I’m glad that I took a chance on Sisters because I have 0 complaints. I do have a background in food, and finding a BBQ restaurant on the west is tough, not to mention a good one. The employees were awesome. The restaurant smelt of smokey, savory love. And most of all, the food was absolutely delectable. I DEFINITELY will be coming back.
