Had a lovely time at sister with some friends last night! The food was delicious, drinks divine and the ambiance in the restaurant unmatched.
Would recommend the Pac Pac Sour, Veal & Pork Meatballs, Za’atar Focaccia, and White Amatriciana. So yum!
For the mains, we ordered a couple of pesto pastas with no meat, and they were exceptional. The pesto was vibrant and aromatic, with just the right amount of richness, and the pasta itself tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Even without meat, the dishes were deeply satisfying and full of flavor, which really speaks to the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen.
Overall, everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and beautifully executed. Sister is a fantastic spot for vegetarians (and non-vegetarians alike) who appreciate high-quality food done right. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
Every dish we ordered was a hit—the Grilled Cauliflower and Fried Eggplant were standout starters, and the Pesto Fusilli was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We also really appreciated the high-quality mocktails, which were creative and felt very celebratory. We finished with the Chocolate Custard Cake, and it was the perfect end to the meal.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a great meal with plenty of delicious options.
Overall it was an enjoyable evening that we will definitely repeat. We loved the creativity and thought the chef put into this menu. It was obvious to us that this chef has a love and respect for the art he/she puts on the plate.
“I tried… twice. I really did.”
This was my second visit, and honestly, I think that was one visit too many. The first time, I had pasta that was perfectly average — the kind of dish you forget about before you even leave the parking lot. Plenty of places do it better.
This time, I ordered the beets & avocado and the eggplant fries. The fries were decent. The beets & avocado, however, tasted like a culinary dare. We barely touched it. Basic cooking 101 would tell you that beets need acidity — a squeeze of lemon transforms them — yet somehow this dish arrived completely unbalanced. I’m genuinely shocked the chef thought it was ready for public consumption.
When I told the waitress the dish wasn’t good, she simply took it away like we were both agreeing to pretend it never happened. No apology, no “let me check with the kitchen,” nothing. She also asked what we wanted to order about 30 seconds after we sat down, which felt less like dining and more like being rushed through a drive-thru with chairs.
For the main course, I had the redfish. It was okay — not offensive, not exciting. If I were starving and it was the only thing on the menu, sure, I’d eat it again. My friend ordered the wagyu short ribs, which did not taste like wagyu, and at $53 a plate, the very least they could do is serve the meat warm. (Just the meat — not asking for the whole plate to be microwaved.)
The one bright spot was the Jawberry Stroller cocktail. Sweet, refreshing, and honestly the only thing I’d confidently recommend.
Overall, the food was expensive, underwhelming, and the service didn’t help. I won’t be attempting visit number three.
Highly recommend for either dinner date or a small group dining experience. Our waitress Brianna suggested family style ordering for our table of 5 and that’s the way we did it!
