I will say the pad Thai was fantastic. And the only shining star of our order.
They are not stingy with the portions of food and the flavor is amazing. Each dish has flavor and individual attention of love.
Plus the roti and curry sauce ….mmm
Make sure to try every item on the menu at least once!
I ordered the Spicy Eggplant dish with tofu. It was nowhere near spicy. It felt barely seasoned. No heat at all!
When I asked for it to be spicy-spicy, that didn’t happen.
Extremely disappointed
The fish was fried perfectly and tasted fresh. The sauce that came with it my husband liked but I found that overall the way they make their food is way too sugary. The yellow curry served with the roti was too sweet and the roti was not as flaky as it could have been. The curry noodles had the same sauce as the roti so again super sweet tasted like sweeter condensed coconut milk mixed with a yellow curry powder with a touch of chili flakes. Definitely didn’t have the flavor of authentic curry. The chicken was cooked well but not seasoned at all (a pinch of salt would have been perfect) and it was a good portion. The ribeye and fried rice my husband loved.
Overall, I don’t think the chefs here are doing their best to bring authentic flavor of Thai cuisine. I wanted to love it but I just barely liked it. But, if you’ve never had true Thai cuisine you may like it a lot. So don’t take my word for it.
