Not sure why there are some negative reviews on here. My husband and I ate here for our wedding anniversary this weekend (7/15/23) and it was absolutely incredible. We got the lobster biscuits for appetizer, lobster rigatoni and the pan seared halibut for entrees. The biscuits were perfectly fresh and warm, the lobster pasta had so much flavor (and they gave an amazing portion of lobster!) and the halibut was seared and cooked to perfection. The saffron potatoes that came with the fish were so good too!! We then had the chocolate pistachio tart which was out of this world. We also were immensely impressed with the service. They treated us like royalty for our anniversary and we will definitely be back!!

I was surprised to see the ratings slip on this place as I went when it first opened, but I get it now that I’ve had a chance to go back. Sat at the bar and service was so slow. One bartender was chatting it up with two girls throughout my entire meal and didn’t have any regard for others at the bar. The other bartender was helpful, but slow at service. We had a 1/2 dozen oysters which were good. The shrimp cocktail is pitiful. Don’t even bother. 1000% the smallest shrimp I’ve ever had for a shrimp cocktail and, for the price, you’d think they’d up the presentation rather than just messily tossing them on ice with the oysters. The dressing on the caesar salad was odd and too light. I would have just preferred a traditional caesar dressing.

I would give 3.5 star. The service is nice overall. But if you expect to get fresh oyster, please turn another way. The one we got wasn’t fresh whatsoever. It didn’t even clean up properly. The lady who served us is very friendly and nice, she switched it up with Lobster biscuits as we required instead. Highly recommend the lobster pasta as well.

We had dinner on a Friday. The place was packed and very noisy. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 15 mins to get it. We had the scallops which were perfect, the octopus (that was chewy and burnt) the spicy shrimps were good. We also ordered oysters which came at the same time as our main. For the main course I had the branzino. It was extremely salty and had soy sauce added as well. My husband got the swordfish which was good but also salty.

The food was just okay. For the price of everything I would have expected much better. Something as simple as a Caesar salad wasn’t even executed properly. The restaurant was very nice and the cocktails were great, but there was nothing that really makes me want to return or recommend this place.

This place definitely doesn’t deserve less than 5 stars from me! I have been living in Hoboken for 2 years and I regret for not coming here sooner. I would recommend all the dishes we ordered here, there were so delicious. It was worth every $ we spent here, including the service. I can’t wait to come back here to try other items on the menu!

So happy sirenetta is here to quench my oyster cravings! I’m currently working my way through their whole menu and especially love & recommend the Fritto Misto. Their drinks are made with care and attention, special props to their Bartender Fernando for the amazing El Verano cocktail. It’s a lovely atmosphere and all the staff have been very sweet and just the right amount of attentive. Sirenetta, please don’t go anywhere and thank you Gabi and team ^_^.

Overall the food and service at Sirenetta was mediocre. I arrived early and had a pre-dinner drink at the bar. The bartender did not acknowledge me and my partner at all when I sat down, not until 10 mins after I sat down. He finally came over to give us the menu and water but barely even looked at us. After ordering some oysters and a drink, he quickly took our menus away without even asking if we wanted more food or anything else.

Our dinner was Friday night. We ordered appetizer, second course, desserts and drinks for two people. The food was quite good and the attention from the servers was correct. However, it was in very bad taste to ask us to vacate our table even when we were consuming our drinks for the reason that There were reservations, we understand how this business is run, but while a customer is consuming it is rude and very rude to do this. In such a case, communicate in advance until what time a table can be used due to reservations made, they will never inform us of it. Very bad management on the part of the manager when even for the third time he asked us to move to the bar and we were still consuming more drinks we also let the server know that we wanted to order more food and he also refused. completely unacceptable that kind of attention and lack of communication
