This little restaurant blew our minds. Lee greeted us warmly, handed us some menus and invited us to come back up to the counter to order. Our 1st time here and we were amazed at all of the menu offerings. Water arrived automatically and we had given our order to Lee. Less than 10 minutes, our appetizers arrived. All were hot and excellent flavors. Our main entrees arrived a few minutes later, also hot and flavorful. I couldn’t believe that all of our yummy food was completely vegan! Presentation was beautiful on the entrees and large portions to split between three of us. We ended by taking home much of the portions. Proper containers were delivered when requested. We would definitely come back here and try other delights from the menu. They have varying degrees of spicy “temperature ” for their dishes and Lee was courteous enough to ask us for all the dish temperatures. We may not have been keen enough to ask since we’re a Senior people and we would have forgotten to ask. Thank you, Lee!!

Sipz Clairemont is a great choice if you’re looking for a vegetarian restaurant that delivers on flavor and generous portion sizes. From the moment the food arrived, it was clear that this place doesn’t hold back on servings. One bowl is easily enough to feed two people, which makes it a solid value whether you’re dining in or taking leftovers home.

I ordered the Mongolian beef, and it was full of rich, savory flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The texture was spot-on, and it paired perfectly with the rice and vegetables in the bowl. It felt like comfort food, but still fresh and well balanced. My wife went with the spicy garlic dish, which had a noticeable kick without being overwhelming. The garlic flavor really came through, and each bite was bold and satisfying.

What stands out about Sipz Clairemont is how filling and hearty the food is. Even for people who don’t eat vegetarian all the time, the dishes don’t feel like a compromise. You leave feeling satisfied, not hungry or wishing you had ordered something extra. The menu offers plenty of variety, so there’s something for different taste preferences, whether you like spicy, savory, or mild dishes.

Overall, Sipz Clairemont is a reliable spot for flavorful vegetarian food, large portions, and good value. It’s a place you can comfortably share a meal, enjoy leftovers, and feel confident recommending to friends or family looking to try something different. P.S THE “THAI TEA” was the best I’ve had here in southern California! A must try !

This place doesn’t have a sign or board. It was a little hard but we found it.
Feel this place is hyped! Understand this is a vegetarian & vegan restaurant which are usually less in any cities but that doesn’t mean it is all good. We tried a variety of dishes at sipz but didn’t like it. Felt there was no taste & lot of soy meat which was too much in most of the dishes. Assorted Appetizer was ok & rest all was not so good. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. Restrooms are dirty & need regular maintenance.

We were specifically looking for bread and by accident stumbled into this area, particularly in this restaurant, my daughter agreed that since we can’t find banana bread she will try the coconut cake, which she liked. We people inside sieating down and got enticed to see what other food the restaurant have.
We ordered Drunken noodles with “chicken” and wonton soup. We liked everything we ordered. This is our first time eating vegetarian thai food. And it left us with a good impression to try other options in their menu in the future.

Visited after lunch hours (around 2p) so it was really quiet. Wasn’t sure what to get so the young man (I didn’t get his name) behind the counter helped me. Ordered the Watermelon cucumber refresher and the Veggie Surprise. WHOA…that refresher was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It was really sweet but delicious. The food and it’s packaging were perfect!

I HIGHLY recommend this place even if you’re not a vegetarian!

I found this restaurant on Google Maps while looking for a place to eat. I wasn’t too sure at first since I haven’t had much luck finding good vegan spots over the years. But I ordered the recommended drunken noodles with tofu and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, and the portion was big enough for two people. It wasn’t too oily or salty either. The atmosphere is simple, just a family-run spot, but I’ll definitely go back to try their Thai curry.

One of my favorite vegan spots in San Diego. It’s amazing when I want something filling and quick. I believe it’s all vegan except for a few ingredients on the menu but I could be wrong. My usual order is a Thai tea with the Tom Kha noodle soup and a side of chili oil. The portions are big and filling so I often like to order a few things and have leftovers for the next day. It’s not the best Thai food you will find but it’s decent for the price.
Parking is easy, there’s plenty in the little strip mall.

I’ve been a long-time patron and it’s a favorite spot of mine. Good food, friendly staff, generous portions, and all vegetarian/vegan.

Really awesome vegan/vegetarian options with Thai food!! The face general tsaos chicken was delicious and the pad Thai was pretty good – really hard to get through and the flavor wasn’t super strong but still tastes good. We got the “beef” with the pad Thai which I wasn’t a big fan of. Kind of a spam consistency but vegetarian? We also got the spicy noodles which were pretty good but not all that spicy at all. Good portion sizes, decent prices and the food stayed warm all the way home! Will definitely be back to try more options.

The staff are really friendly and attentive but the plant based meat they use is the super old generation TSP that has a strong aftertaste and lackluster texture. There are so many great technologies in 2025, please improve your plant based meat! I could come back and just get tofu, but then the price doesn’t make sense considering it’s not full service and the place desperately needs a renovation and some AC for the summer months.
