We had a really lovely dinner at Sipeos in Walnut Creek. We started with a beautiful mezze plate and ordered the eggplant, beet, and hummus dips. The presentation was gorgeous and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The dips were excellent, rich and bright, and clearly made with care. My only small suggestion would be to serve them with small spoons, which would make sharing a little easier.
The butternut squash soup was a standout. It was deeply savory and comforting, which was a nice surprise since many butternut squash soups tend to be sweet. This one was perfectly balanced.
Service was attentive and welcoming throughout the meal.
For dessert we tried the chocolate pomegranate torte. Unfortunately it tasted like it had been pulled from the freezer and thawed rather than freshly made. The vegan whipped cream and fresh strawberries served with it were delicious though.
Overall we had a wonderful meal and will definitely be back. We will probably just skip dessert next time.

I’ve known about Sipeos for awhile now but I’ve never ventured in until recently and boy have I been missing out! What an adorable Mediterranean restaurant. So chic but understated and calming inside with a lovely outdoor patio area (I sat at the bar one night and came back the next day for their great happy hour and enjoyed that on the patio. Even though it was a chilly winter night it was lovely with the outdoor heaters. I had their delicious $7 gluten free pizza flatbread and a perfect $10 glass of Wente Chardonnay my second time there during happy hour. The first night Justina (such a kind bartender) made me a delicious mocktail and was happy to talk to me about the different kinds of cocktails and mocktails that they serve (so many non-alcoholic options that are quite good!) Cole and Hetal were both very kind and welcoming and I had a lovely conversation with one of the hostesses, Charlotte as well! All in all I had such a great time I went back the very next day. Highly recommend if you’re out in downtown Walnut Creek to check it out!

Sipeos is a vegetarian Mediterranean gem! Every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and creative twists that make the food truly memorable. Their non-alcoholic cocktails are exceptional — refreshing, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. The ambiance is warm and modern, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect spot for anyone who loves flavorful, wholesome, and beautifully presented vegetarian cuisine! To top it all off the hosts / owners were present at the restaurant and spoke to each table individually to get feedback. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff and host made it special by surprising us with a personalized card and birthday dessert. Lovely place for a wonderful evening !!

Sipeos is a great find. Vegetarian restaurant which serves quality Mediterranean food. For drinks, they have low alcohol (beer, wine and some cocktails etc). We went there on Valentines days and it was fully booked. Luckily we got a slot just one week before.
The servers, wait staff and owners – everyone is very polite and warm. They make you feel welcome.
Will surely visit again & highly recommended specially if you are vegan or vegetarian.

Sipeos was very delicious. I ordered the beet and hummus platter, eggplant, and fattoush salad. My favorite was the eggplant. The flavor was wonderful and the flavors go together. I would definitely come back again!

I don’t eat out too much and when I do I enjoy supporting smaller vegan and vegetarian places. The occasion presented itself when my dad had a family visit day at his workplace in Walnut Creek, and during our visit there my mom and I decided to have lunch with him at a vegetarian/ vegan place. After quickly searching in happycow, I found Sepios vegetarian and Roasted vegan restaurants at or near downtown Walnut Creek with very different but excellent menus.
I was in the mood for pizza and others in my family wanted soup. The varied Mediterranean dishes at Sipeos won my family and I over.
We reserved a slot through Sepios’ system but I came there earlier and parked at the nearby parking garage (free for 3 hours).
Getting there early was not a problem as there was plenty of seating.
The serving staff there, (I believe her name is Sophie, but my sincere apologies if I got it wrong), was super sweet and helped us out all throughout including explaining the options in a very understandable way.
We all got the unique mango based gazpacho, which the serving lady explained would be spicy and sweet, and which we found super delicious.
The small flatbread plate with dips and veggies also helped whet our appetite. The roasted red bell pepper based dip was especially flavorful and I would highly recommend.
Then we got the vegan versions of cauliflower shawarma pizza, the eggplant honey pizza, and the cauliflower skewers with rice and harrisa side (which was spicy exactly as described). All of them were super tasty.
The vegan version of pistachio cream cheese dessert was a delicious ending to our visit. There were other delicious options including soft serve which I had to shelve for a next visit.
My compliments to the chef and his team there for the timely and wonderful preparation of the meals catering to vegan options.
We also got a chance to meet one of the owners, Hetal, which was super nice. We had a nice conversation about his and his partner’s core reason behind the Sepios name of the restaurant and he exemplified this by sharing the non alcoholic very low sugar or sugar free drinks collection he had in stock and allowing us to sample one of them, the Rosé.
Thank you Sipeos (Hetal and team) for the great lunch experience. Best wishes for your business and I hope to come here in the future.
Tip: you can use your toast account to earn reward points and redeem them for future visits.
P.S. I added this review on yelp and happycow as well.

We were not in for veggie food but we gave it a try. Owner kindly offered that it would be on house if we didn’t like the food. Food and service were great, our server was nice and professional, also a well decorated, cozy and clean dining area.
Mushroom pizza and soup were really good.

Took a drive of over 1.5 hours to finally try this new concept restaurant after almost 9months of it being open! We should have come here a lot sooner! We were not sure of what to expect but had heard rave reviews from friends and patrons. Sipeos is a Mediterranean restaurant that is vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. As you walk to the entrance, you pass through the elegant and modern outside dining patio. The large glass doors are welcoming and you are greeted by the host who searches up your reservation, if you have one, or takes you to the table. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the service is excellent. They are always watching to make sure the water is full and if you need anything during your dining experience. We really lucked as both owners happen to be there and we were able to get the backstory about the concept. We asked for popular recommendations and so we started off with the large Mezze platter, complete with tasty flatbread squares served with green olives, veggies and 3 dips (eggplant similar to baba ganoush, a tasty red pepper, and an amazing whipped feta dip). What an incredible way to start off the evening. The cocktails we had to start with were the Modest Adonis, Salted Pineapple, Cherry Sherry, and the Citrine, which was a zero-proof cocktail. I have to say, the drinks were mixed to perfection and I enjoyed these much more than my regular go to counterparts at restaurants. The old-fashioned is a perfect replacement to those served elsewhere, with low alcohol! Still could not believe what I was drinking. Then we moved onto the gazpachos. These were three of the most unique and delicious cold soups I have ever had! The mango was sweet and spicy at the same time and the tomatillo one added a soothing relief to the zing from the mango gazpacho. On to the flatbreads! Under the Tuscan Sun was delicious. I would have never thought of having cannellini beans on a pizza, but wow, especially with the accompaniments of the roasted garlic, arugula and the vinaigrette!! The white truffle oil put the dish over the top! The other flatbread was the shawarma cauliflower. What an amazing way to have a veggie pizza. I know ethnic pizzas are a rave right now, and this ranks up near the top. Finally, we had the Impossible Kefta skewers. A perfectly seasoned creation served with flavored rice, chimichurri sauce, feta and pickled cucumbers/onions/tomatoes. Don’t leave if you are stuffed. You must try the Mediterranean Cocoa Mousse and the Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream. A perfect ending to an incredible dining experience! A big thank you to the wonderful owners who were able to chat with us and tell us their story. We will definitely be back!

My mom and I celebrated my birthday with lunch at Sipeos and had an absolutely wonderful experience. We made a reservation, and upon arrival, our table was set with a “Happy Birthday” placard and birthday card with handwritten notes from the entire team. We were also personally greeted by the owner with a happy birthday wish. We asked to be moved to a table with a bit more room and this was happily granted. Our server, Nami, was a joy from start to finish. There was a miscommunication regarding my mom’s order which was likely our fault, but Sipeos made it right and didn’t even charge us for the change. As someone 8 months pregnant celebrating a milestone birthday, I really appreciated the inclusive drink menu with fantastic mocktails, and my mom was really impressed with her cocktail too. For food, we got the 1/2 salad + 1/2 pizza lunch special, which was delicious and an excellent value. The beet salads were fresh and flavorful and the pizzas were yummy too. I appreciate their commitment to clean ingredients. Lastly, the ambience and vibe of the restaurant is awesome. As a Walnut Creek local, I will be back and highly recommend Sipeos.
