Reviews
There wasn’t that wow factor but their food was good. First time trying Bo Ne and it was yummy, loved dipping the bread into the sauce. Their portion sizes were nice and shareable. The service was friendly but please offer water. The place looked simple, but there was food scraps left on the table and chair from previous diners when we sat down.
We ordered a mango soda and a pineapple soda. Give them both a really good stir to mix it all up. Such a good soda.
We got the Saigon-style savory sticky rice with sausage, pork floss, eggs and scallions as our appetizer. Do your best to mix it all together and you will find the flavors all blend on together.
The first entree we got was the wagyu steak with salted egg sauce. It comes with a small salad and a large loaf of bread. Dip the bread into that salted egg sauce. Trust me. It is just delicious. The wagyu is tender and so flavorful.
Next up was the fried chicken thigh with sticky rice and pate with a side of veggies. The chicken thigh was tender and the skin was so crispy.
Of course we got some coffee to go.
A great restaurant with good food and good service.
Ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious: the crispy fried squid was perfectly golden and crunchy, the sizzling Wagyu beef in creamy mushroom sauce was rich and tender, the traditional Vietnamese beef stew was soul-warming, and the tendon & beef ball sate noodle had that perfect spicy kick with chewy tendon.
Authentic flavors, huge portions, and surprisingly affordable prices – amazing value! Friendly service and great vibes. Can’t wait to return!
We ordered:
Iced Coconut Coffee
Iced Egg Coffee
Iced Pandan Fresh Milk
Crispy Chicken Skin Rice
Wagyu Steak w/ Black Pepper Sauce
The drinks absolutely blew us away. The coconut coffee was bold and rich, the egg coffee had the most delicious whipped topping, sweet, extra creamy, and the perfect complement to the strong Vietnamese coffee. The pandan fresh milk was so refreshing and ended up being a huge hit with my kiddos.
The mains were just as incredible. The fried chicken had perfectly crispy skin, coated in a spicy, sweet, citrusy sauce and served with crunchy fried rice. The Wagyu steak was unreal, super peppery, saucy, and packed with flavor. We loved all the extras too: cheese, eggs, veggies, and pâté. Such an amazing way to start the day!
Thank you so much for the wonderful experience
We ordered the pork porridge, spicy beef noodle soup with meatballs, kumquat tea, and soursop tea.
Pork porridge:The green onions were sliced a bit larger than my preference, and the ground pork was slightly rough in texture. However, the porridge itself had the expected consistency, and the grains were well cooked. One downside was the spoon provided—it was too large and not suitable for eating porridge, especially given the bowl size.
Spicy beef noodle soup:The spicy dipping sauce wasn’t spicy at all. The noodles had an okay flavor, but the beef and beef tendon were very tender, which was a highlight.
Tea:Both teas were decent.
Overall, the food was okay to good, and we would come back to try other items on the menu.
Warm day in North OC ☀️! Originally just wanted some specialty drinks— so giving Coffee Sip’s egg coffee ☕️ and passion fruit tea a try. So refreshing.
Saw their food and couldn’t resist ordering garlic noodles with lobster very rich and luxurious plus Hainan chicken , I loved the soup and homemade rice.
Perfect spot for drinks or Vietnamese fusion eats ✨
