it’s a beautiful place to sit, but the coffee was not good, very bitter. we had a single shot latte that was acceptable but the other one, a double shot one (they said it was their default recipe one), was undrinkable. Also had the breakfast sandwich with mushrooms, pickled ones in case you need to know

I’ve never had a bad experience at Sip. I’m a latte drinker, so I generally don’t have detailed commentary on the coffee in its most bare form, but I think their latte and milk drinks are solid, probably a B+. I also have only ever had great interactions with the staff. Perhaps the atmosphere boosts their mood? The location is definitely a draw, but even putting that aside, all my café needs are happily met when I come to Sip.

As someone who travels 12 months a year and needs to get work done, finding a good spot with space is key. Sip Cafe is right in the middle of a quiet park in Boston, which is perfect for escaping the city noise.
They have lots of tables, both inside and a nice, quiet outdoor area, which is great if you want to sit with your laptop. The only real issue was the internet, they either don’t have it, or it wasn’t working when we were there.
But everything else was great. The cashier was a Colombian girl who gave excellent service; she was very nice. The bagel with salmon was soft and warm, just right. And the coffee was fantastic, it was one of the few places we found that offered something different than a regular Americano. The price for everything was also fair. This is a top spot for a good coffee and a quiet break.

I ordered take out from here. My order was a half sandwich and half salad with chicken (upcharge). I open my salad bowl and chicken was missing. I took that back and had them add the chicken. When I got back to my lunch, I then opened up the sandwich only to find an extremely long piece of hair between my bread and cheese. I was promised a refund on my entire meal and several weeks later I have not received anything back on my statement.

The ambiance is the draw, and it is so worth it. This garden enclave in the midst is such a busy city. Priceless. I enjoyed a Cappuccino, and the kind barista brought it out to me, as I curled up on the bench with the throw pillows and cozy blankets.

Their matcha is pretty great, and decent price. The cold one is better than the hot one but overall would recommend to get a good matcha. Their almond croissant is also fantastic but their charcuterie board it terrible and it is like 38 dollars so would never recommend that very underwhelming experience. But overall I love the atmosphere and outdoor space this cafe has, very unique and cute.
