Stumbled upon this place using the backroad from the shopping area so I looked it up on Google reviews and took a chance. I grew up eating Thai food so i can be extremely critical. My mother is from Thailand and was an amazing traditional Thai cook. Let me say, the food was excellent! Although im a traditionalist, i appreciated the modern menu with subtle twists. The main thing about Thai cooking is flavor balance. Spicy salty sour sweet bitter is what we are taught by our mothers when we learn how to cook Thai. Whoever is cooking here has a good palette! My mother would have approved if she were still living and had i brought her here. I had something a little different from my normal. I always test restaurants with their Pad Thai. The pad thai was prepared just the way I like it, perfectly balanced but I wanted to try the “crispy) pad thai where it’s made with crispy fried noodles so I told the waiter I’d like to try it but was concerned I may not like it so he suggested a half and half so I ordered that (pad thai with half crispy noodle) and I loved it. The other appetizers were great too from the crispy spring rolls, the thai steamed dumpling (shumai), and the tempura veggies were so light and crispy. We finished off the meal with the most amazing homemade coconut ice cream that I need to go back for! Do not pass up the homemade tropical ice creams to complete a meal (and I’m not even into sweets), my husband ordered it and I ended up eating half of his. So creamy and coconut-ty, rich and silky sweet but not to sweet. It was a perfect ending to our meal!

I came here for lunch, and the atmosphere was really lovely. The server was very friendly and attentive. My husband enjoyed the pad Thai and said it’s the best he’s had since living in Hawaii 20 years ago. I ordered a curry dish, and it was absolutely delicious—sweet and spicy.

This place could be so much more if the staff took better care of their customers. We saw the host more often than we saw our waitress. The food was good but not well seasoned for Thai food. I asked for more spices and they brought out a tray of peppers that was almost completely empty in each jar.

We have eaten at thai restaurants from around the world, ate thai food while in pattaya, guam, cali, sasebo japan, hawaii, and ill admit this restaurant sits at the top of our list for thai food. We started out with fried springrolls and coconut shrimp, which was served fresh and hot, and tasted amazing. For drinks, we had the thai tea and lemonade, very refreshing! Then we moved on to the crispy duck and crawfish fried rice, and let me tell you my tastebuds were blessed after digging in. Finally we moved on to their dessert which was sweet roti. That alone would be the reason i would dine back here, on top of the rest of the meal. It was so good we asked for a to go box so we can have more later! The server was personable and attentive. She made us feel welcomed even though we are not from here, recommended places to live in the area. We will be dining back here in the coming years!

Good Thai food but not the best I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the Gold Rush noodles and fried rice. My husband had the curry which was also good. Food was pretty sweet for my liking, even the fried rice was sweet which was very different from any other I’ve had.

We visited this restaurant after trying a few times and catching them on closed days.

We ordered the steamed dumplings and veggie/tofu pad Thai and chicken pad Thai.

-Cons
-The dumplings were the least impressive I have had on the Northshore. The texture was that of commercial fish or shrimp balls wrapped with dumpling wrapper. Chewy and off putting.
Dumpling price is comparable to baan Thai who makes their dumplings and have a tender rich flavor everytime I have ordered them. You also get +1 dumpling at Baan Thai.

-Serving size of pad Thai is smaller for the price compared to their local peers.

+Pros
+Vegetable pad Thai had a pleasant mix of vegetables with tofu, bok choy, lime leaves (I think), mushrooms, onions, celery, carrots, squash and very fresh beans sprouts.

+Good pad Thai sauce, less brown from tamarind than some others, but I enjoyed this none the less.

+Service is great and the restaurant is in a convenient location with a clean interior. They also serve coffee and bubble teas/milk teas.

I would go back to eat here.

This place is well worth trying. Wife got the chicken pad Thai which I probably liked even better than her. But I got the Garlic Pepper Chicken and that was perfect. The sauce was so good mixed with the rice.

I went in there for take out on a Thursday night and there was like no one in there either.

The food doesn’t stand out as much as the atmosphere. For the way the inside looks, the food should match. The crab rangoon was only good because of the sauce, but the noodle dish we ordered was very bland. Even without a lot of salt and or peppers the typical thai flavors were not there. Esthetically, i would highly recommend perhaps removing the huge trees hiding the restaurant and or maybe creating a restaurant sign that makes it look less like a nail salon.

If you love Thai food like me, and looking for authentic one, this is the place. Beyond the attention that is over 5 starts, the food is an explosion in your mouth, a perfect combination that brings me back to Thailand and my working time in Bangkok, Chain Mai, Phuket, Bimi Beach, and be aware that I’m known what talking about. In Slidell, as an international chef, this is my favorite place. Thank you so much and delight you eyes with this wonderful dishes…
