I’ve been a loyal customer of Singas Famous Pizza for over 30 years, originally enjoying their consistently great taste in New Jersey. Unfortunately, my experience at the Decatur, GA location was extremely disappointing—not because of the food, but due to the lack of basic customer service and cleanliness.
To start, the pizza still had the familiar good taste, which reminded me of what makes Singas special. However, the rest of the visit was far from pleasant. The restaurant was dirty—the floors hadn’t been swept, and the tables were messy. The drink selection was non-existent, with only bottled water and a few Mountain Dews in a cooler—no fountain drinks or variety.
When I asked the cashier about the drink options, I was told that the location was “not doing well” and “closing permanently soon.” He went on to make negative comments about the local community, which I found highly unprofessional and inappropriate. Ironically, Singas locations in New Jersey have thrived in very similar communities—clearly showing it’s not about the neighborhood but about how the location is managed.
It’s disheartening to see such a good brand suffer due to poor management and lack of care. Corporate really needs to step in—retrain staff, improve customer service standards, and ensure the cleanliness and professionalism that Singas is known for.
Great taste can only go so far. Without good service and clean environments, loyal customers like me won’t return—and that’s likely why this location is struggling.

Saw the Indian pizza in Decatur and I got a bit over excited. Ordered the takeout for a paneer Tikka and got a super oily pie with skimped paneer toppings, that was clearly frozen at some time and went to oven from freezer. The pizza base was so oily and the pie smelled like a cardboard more than paneer Tikka. I would rather order dominos large fresh pie any given day in this price, I at least would get a fresh made, non cardboard smelling pizza instead of frozen and ovened after.

The worker didn’t understand my question so I just got a cheese pizza. They gave me the brownie which was very nice as they were out of the Choc Chip cookies. There was no ac or a place to get water but overall it was quiet and good.

The pizza here is perfect. I love that you can get the pizzas half cooked, take it home and put it in the oven yourself. It’s not frozen and it doesn’t get soggy either. Everything in g is fresh and the taste is great even if you cook it later. I fully recommend trying i the pizza here. The staff is also great and very friendly, they help you if you are unsure of what to try.

Best pizza in Atlanta I must say … the cheese they use tastes like amul cheese.. also all fresh toppings no preserved veggies even fresh jalapeños as well… amazing taste … must visit !

Let me be the first to admit—I clearly need to explore the area more, because not only did I not know this place existed (despite being “famous” ), but I also didn’t realize I had stepped into what felt like a Little India tucked right into Decatur.
Location tip: It’s super easy to miss! There’s no visible sign from the parking lot (at least not when we visited), and it’s actually located on the second floor of the building. We took the elevator up—which, fair warning, had a rough smell—and were greeted by a life-sized cutout of a Bollywood actor (which we saw in nearly every shop around here, by the way ).
Once inside, we were welcomed by a friendly woman at the register. The menu online and in-store varies slightly, but they have a huge variety. We used a Groupon for two 10” pizzas (only $15 total!)—so we didn’t qualify for their in-store deal (buy 2, get a cheese pizza free), but honestly, we were still very happy.
We ordered:
Butter Chicken Pizza
Chicken Tikka Pizza – Grilled Chicken, Peppers, Onions, Tikka Masala Sauce, Cheese Blend
Both are normally $12.99 each, so we saved a bit and left completely full.
The pizzas were incredible. I don’t know what kind of crust they use, but I could eat it by itself—soft, perfectly cooked, and fresh (seriously, it might not even be dough, it was that unique). Cook time was about 15–20 minutes, but it didn’t feel long, and they came out piping hot and fresh.
Major props for using fresh-cut veggies, too—nothing frozen, nothing pickled. That alone makes a huge difference in quality and taste.
I’ve officially found a new favorite pizza spot, and I’m excited to go back and try more. Highly recommend if you’re craving Indian-style pizza or just want to switch things up.

I’m absolutely blown away by Singas! Their pizzas are hands-down the best I’ve ever had! The crust is perfectly cooked, the sauce is rich and tangy, and the toppings are fresh and abundant.
