A friend recommended this place because of its later closing time, which was perfect for our post-work birthday celebration with the girls. It turned out to be an absolutely brilliant choice!
Although there were four of us, every single dish we ordered was superb: a whole Squab (乳鴿), Honey Garlic Spare Ribs, Salt and Pepper Prawns, Clay Pot Chicken (啫啫雞煲), Stir-fried Pea Shoots with Garlic, plus a complimentary pot of smooth Congee.
Everything was simply delicious! The congee was silky, the pea shoots fresh, the clay pot chicken had great heat, the prawns were cooked perfectly, the ribs were sweet, and the squab skin was crispy. We had such a happy meal!
The service was truly exceptional! Our server, the kind “Pretty Sister” (靚姐姐), was incredibly hospitable and friendly. Her excellent service and jokes made the whole atmosphere joyful and pleasant. The “Handsome Younger Brother” (靚仔細佬) was also very attentive and thoughtful. Thank you both for taking such great care of us!
I highly recommend this restaurant; the food and service are both flawless!

Went out looking for something healthy… and somehow landed on roasted pork and BBQ duck. Also tried the beef with Chinese broccoli (gai lan), plus a complimentary soup and black rice dessert to round things out. Pretty standard Cantonese comfort food overall. Proper flavours and the service was genuinely attentive and super friendly, which always helps.

Some delicious Hong Kong / Cantonese cuisine. This place is one of the least saltiest HK/Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at. Very balanced and decent flavour. We came early at around 5-6pm but I highly recommend reservations. Fish tasted pretty good, beef was a bit oily but still good. Service was very friendly. Dessert was a Taro Sago (also called Ximiru) and was very good and not too sweet.

Foods are excellent. Can keep up the standard most of time. It is very Canton/Hong Kong style dishes. A middle size dinning area but always packed of people. I suggested you always book the table before you go. Service has a room to improve, not the worse but not very friendly either. Therefore, if you do not care about service at all, this is the place you should go.

I read the reviews (good and bad), and honestly, was thoroughly impressed with this place. The 叉燒 (BBQ Pork) I had here was the best I’ve ever had. Nice level of thickness to their pieces, an interesting level of slight chard on the outer layer, yet still juicy on the inside. Plus, the 燒肉 (Roast Pork) was had the crispiest skin I’ve had compared to most other places in Los Angeles. HOWEVER, I have to take points away from their 乾炒牛河 (Beef Stir-fried Rice Noodles). The flavor was really lacking. Color was off, and it was much more oily than they normally should be. I took it to go, but honestly, had to dump half of it the next morning.
BUT they did redeem themselves with the level of service –very nice people! On top of that, despite only ordering so few dishes, we still got dessert at the end! 紅豆沙 was really good! Had some cooked 糯米 (sticky rice) or 黑米 (black rice) maybe? Added a nice distinct flavor to it. Oh, and my girlfriend had some really good 薑汁撞奶 (Ginger juice over gelatin milk)! It was nice and rich, very creamy and custard-like (possibly used egg whites). If I got anything wrong, please let me know! Total came out to almost $70CAD, and then I decided to add the total to $80CAD for tip. Would definitely love to come back and try their other dishes.

Extremely tasty authentic Cantonese da laang dishes. The late night discount specials start after 9pm and though pricier than other competitors, the quality is better and the portions are generous. If you buy 3 dishes, it comes with a free large plain rice congee.

Highly recommend the pea shoots in consomme which were so tender and rich, the deep fried silverfish, deep fried pork intestines, and honey garlic spareribs. The taste of the food was all on point and was so satisfying. Would definitely return.

We came back to this restaurant 3-4 times because food was good but I don’t think we’re coming back next time.
It was new year’s eve and the female owner with the high pitch voice was making all of us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable with her attitude. We totally understand food arrives slowly but it was not necessary to give us attitude when we asked for beer, cups, soup or just simple services for our table.

There are very few da lang late night places in Richmond that open after midnight so tried this place as we haven’t been here for a while. The prices are quite expensive and the dishes are not large, but the food is tasty and there is a variety. Lots of parking late night so it’s preferred over Vancouver places. It’s busy even weekday night, but the service is not the best

We decided to try Sing Yee for the boss’ s birthday dinner. We had reservations for 930pm but were seated 20 minutes later. The restaurant was busy so I had high hopes. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered plain congee and many dishes. Everything was served hot and yummy. Definitely worth trying out in Richmond!

This is one of the Chinese restaurants that opens till late in Richmond, BC. It serves many Canton dishes as well as some Chiu Chow dishes.
We ordered 5 dishes (see photos) for 6 of us.
The best is the deep fried intestines. For those who like this dish must know that the crispiness is the key. If deep frying for too long, they will become very dry, but if too short, it would defeat the whole purpose of having this dish. Sing Yee managed to do it JUST RIGHT. And I love the appropriate amount of fat they left on the intestines to give them more flavor.
The deep fried duck meat and taro is not bad. The meat in the taro remained juicy and tender with the right amount of flavor. It would have been better if they had a better control of the deep frying time (honestly I don’t understand why they did so well with the pig intestines but not this one). As you can probably see from the photo, they turned brown and became quite dry because of deep drying for too long.
The fish fillet and the steam fish came as a combo for $59.90. They both tasted alright. Nothing outstanding.
The WORST is the beef briskets with daikon. If I really had to rate it, I would give it 1/10. Why? The beef briskets were very dry and tough, and the daikon were not fully cooked. Not to mention that there were so little beef briskets. The photo might have given you an impression otherwise, but in fact the briskets were so thinly sliced. We regretted for ordering this.
I think we may still visit again given Sing Yee’s long operating hours and the vast variety in its menu. We will never order beef briskets though.
