I discovered Lauren at Simply Sweets Bake Shop while searching for local bakeries on Instagram, and I’m so glad I did! She is truly an artist who can bring any design to life with incredible detail, perfectly capturing inspiration photos.
For our two baby showers, I ordered four custom cookie designs and, for the larger family shower, four dozen cupcakes with a teddy bear and floral theme. Everything was beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious.
The first batch of cookies was picked up directly from her shop in Mercer County. When I missed my scheduled pick-up time, Lauren was so kind and accommodating — even letting me pick up before the bakery opened. The cookies were individually wrapped, making them the perfect shower favors.
For the second event, Lauren delivered the cookies and cupcakes to the venue on time and in perfect condition, which made the day so much smoother.
Lauren is talented and reliable — I highly recommend Simply Sweets Bake Shop and look forward to working with her again for future celebrations!

I’m a few weeks postpartum, and had to make this my first solo trip out of the house. The flattened croissant was incredible- it’s a trend that needs to stay! All of her other pastries were wonderful as usual. Just wish she was open more hours (but I completely understand why). Can’t wait for my next visit!

I can only recommend ordering a wedding cake from Simply Sweets by Lauren if you want the most incredibly gorgeous cake in the world. We ordered with Lauren for our wedding in September of 2024, and we were astounded; we had high expectations to begin with, and she definitely exceeded them. The cake overall was beautiful, but the sugar flowers were honestly unreal – one guest thought that our cake was fake because of how amazing they looked. Not only that, but it also tasted heavenly; we requested a marble cake with alternating tiers mocha and cookies and cream buttercream frosting, and our friends have been gushing for weeks about how delicious it was. Lauren gave us the perfect cake for our special day, and I don’t think we could have been more thrilled.

Lauren delivered, as usual! I had a surprise 70th lunch for mom and Lauren made the ordering process very easy & helped me when I wasn’t 100% clear on my vision. We ordered 3 dessert trays with tarts, cookies and dessert shooters along with a vanilla cake w cream cheese buttercream, topped with gorgeous live flowers. Lauren also did our thank you sugar cookie favors based on the invitation design. Everyone raved about her creations and flavors! The photos don’t do justice for her talent!

Worth every cent 10x over. I worked with Lauren to create a custom macaroon tart to celebrate my husband’s 10 year anniversary of being cancer free. He is a huge car enthusiast, so I requested BMW, M logos and colors with the exception of those instructions- . I let Lauren have complete, creative control, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. Not only was everyone one so impressed with how it looked but we were all fighting for the last bites because of how delicious they were. I now visit Lauren on Saturday mornings when I need a sweet fix or whenever we have a special occasion – it’s a great place to bookmark for the most important people and moments in your life. We contacted Lauren about one month before our wedding (we shifted gears to a small backyard wedding with little time to spare), and she was available, very easy to talk to, kind, organized, thoughtful, and helpful. She suggested a mini, two-tiered cake that would work for a small group of people, but still look like the wedding cake we originally planned for. She also was able to accommodate different flavors in each tier and worked off of photographs of a couple of design and color ideas we had and crafted a very beautiful and delicious cake, we received many compliments from our family in person and via Zoom. Lauren has take-home sampling kits, so we were able to have a cake tasting during a pandemic. The cakes and icings are delicious and the options are numerous. Lauren was also able to deliver the cake to our backyard (in Hillsborough) and set it up, which we were grateful for. We definitely recommend Simply Sweets by Lauren for any event, or day-to-day, dessert needs!
