I ordered large shrimp and when I bit into one of the shrimp it was mushy so I spit it out and discovered it was black on the inside. I immediately called Simply Seafood and informed them of what I encountered they told me that I could bring the shrimp back so they could examine it. I brought it back and they picked through and could see it was black and gave me a refund. This was the second time for me being given soured fried shrimp. I will not be back.

Called last Friday for a simple order…three 3-perch meals with fries. The first red flag was the lady that answered the phone had a nasty attitude like I was interrupting her day but I went ahead and took the chance anyway…..BIG MISTAKE!!! Got home with the fish and it def wasn’t perch it look like some mystery fish I never had before. The two other people who I got food for agreed no way that was even perch. Then the mild sauce tasted like they mixed vinegar and hot sauce together just nasty!!! This mess over $40 but I’m lucky cause we was considering getting crab and salmon that def would’ve been a disaster…..avoid this place at all costs!

If you’re from Gary like me, THEY ARE BETTER THAN RAYS! Small building, clean, and you are able to see them looking from over the counter. One of the few places that have grape and strawberry crush soda catfish nuggets and large shrimp were fried perfectly, and breading was seasoned ….was able to eat without any sauce. The mild and hot sauces are ! They are CLOSED on Sundays, FYI carryout only.

the color of the fried shrimp was a bit “off”
for my liking.
I was expecting a darker golden brown color.
The seasoning in the breading was very basic, even bland.
I would go back again and try other things on the menu, but I would pass on their shrimp in the future.
The shrimp were $17 disappointment for me.

Not getting what I paid for is an issue for me. I haven’t been pleased with my catfish purchases lately. Bought filets today that were cut into pieces and didn’t weigh 1 lb. Today’s experience makes the 3rd time I was dissatisfied with my order. I’m done with this place. Three unpleasant experiences is enough.

Heard great things about this place. Bought jumbo shrimp and ocean perch. The shrimp were huge. For a pound, we got about 8. The perch came with three nice pieces and fries. Seems the breading is corn meal based. I liked them both a lot. The shrimp are not tail on, so you can really enjoy the entire piece and not worry about shell. Lots of people were there,but practicing social distancing. My recommendation is to pre order, but they are really quick. I ordered in the parking lot and got my food in less than ten minutes. Will come again!

1st of all the food was AMAZING , THE SHRIMP WAS HUGE FRESH AND TASTED CLEAN. The fish was yummy, I ordered the combo and it was worth driving to get some . The customer service was so helpful friendly . I give my experience there 11 stars.. if you have a taste for seafood please go support them.

The jumbo shrimp prawns are big and delicious we also bought whiting fish. None of the food had a bunch of breading.

I use to like them but it’s not the cleanest place, & Tuesday specials, I don’t like my shrimp sitting out, to keep up with the rush. You can give food poison or salmonella‼️ I use to like them !!..

I’ve been coming here since they opened up for business & haven’t been sorry for it. I don’t mind the wait & when I call in and order over the phone it’s been ready for pick up & still hot when we get home . There’s only two places I go for shrimp or fish & it’s here & @ the 95th Street Bridge in Chicago that place made its appearance briefly but made it on the Blues Brothers. These two places have awesome food!!
