We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night with our Cambodian friend who is attending college here. He’s been craving food from his home country, and our driving 30 minutes to get to Simply Khmer did not disappoint! We had our friend choose for us, and these were our dishes. He explained that soup is a very typical dish in Cambodian families, and we had the generous Som-law Ma-ju Kroeung soup with healthy green vegetables, beef & tripe that you can put on rice or eat from a soup bowl. The broth was incredibly flavorful! We also had the Amok Trey, which is Cambodia’s national dish passed down from royalty, with fish poached in coconut milk curry sauce. Oh my! The sauce was soo tasty that we scooped up the very last drops of sauce with rice! We also had the well-known Loc Lac, marinated steak tips over sliced tomatoes & cucumbers, don’t forget to add their dipping sauce to your dish! Lastly, we had Lort Cha which is a rice pin noodle dish, specific to Cambodia, and also very tasty, with ingredients similar to a Thai or Chinese noodle dish.
Our entire meal was very delicious! Their portions were generous for the three of us so we had plenty of leftovers to bring home. Praise to the chefs who made this superb meal for us!! The wait staff were exceedingly helpful, polite, and hard-working! Two of us have visited Siem Reap so know first hand how kind and gentle the Cambodian people are. The general manager, Xavier, came up to us at the end of our meal and gave us a brief history of the restaurant and his family ties to it. He also showed us the food products that they make and offer to the public in their refrigerated section. Thank you, Simply Khmer, for a great evening!

Awesome experience. Great food and service, new flavor experience as well if you’ve never tried Khmer food ! What we ordered: Thai milk tea, taro shake, ginger stir fry combo with beef, and a kuy tiev. The kuy tiev soup was sooooo flavorful me and my bf couldn’t stop eating it even after we got full lol. The ginger stir fry you could taste it was fresh real ginger and I loved that. One of the ladies who took our order noticed us looking at the little shop and she gave us a whole run down about all the products and some history of Cambodia even down to the details of the pictures on the wall! Another worker also was knowledgeable about all the products and was showing us the freshly grew crab apples and detailing how most of the stuff in the fridge were made! Hands down was an awesome experience to learn about culture, food, and even tasting some awesome food. Highly recommend

We came in a huge group of almost 20. Everything was good – food taste, noodle texture, drink sweetness etc. The space is very clean, well-ventilated and spacious. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful with information on the menu. They were very accomodating toward requests and thorough with the orders. Food and drinks came out super fast. I was so impressed how they managed to handle our big group so well.

Went here for the first time close to closing and was blown away by the place. Atmosphere is great, very chill music and vibe. Service was wonderful even as closing time came and we were almost finished eating. The food was incredible also. Big portions of clean and bold flavors for fair prices. The spicy fried calamari was some of the best calamari I’ve ever had, which is surprising because I typically go for calamari in Italian restaurants and it wasn’t on my mind coming into a Cambodian place. Definitely would recommend heavily, a sleeper pick for sure. 10/10

Really enjoyed this place! The food was fantastic!
The overall atmosphere was very nice. It was kind of cozy and laid back, with soft Khmer music playing in the background.
The service was very good, the menu was surprisingly easy to order from, and the food came out pretty quickly.
We got the lort cha, mango fried rice, and the pork intestines.
All three were phenomenal. The lort cha noodles were so good, I really loved the texture of them. The mango fried rice arrived in a hollowed out mango, which was awesome, and the pork intestines were some of the best my friend said he had ever tried, and he’s tried quite a few of them.
Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

First time at Simply Khmer and already can’t wait to come back. We got the hot wings – so crispy and saucy! Had some spice but nothing too spicy at all. We split the Bai Loc Lac plate and the Somlaw Machu Kroeng soup. The soup was literally the best thing ever – a must try if you enjoy tamarind and lemongrass. The service was excellent and quick. Will definitely be back soon!

The server was really nice and took all of our orders. I really like all of the decor, and it makes the restaurant feel more home-y and comfortable. My only gripes concerning the atmosphere is that big sign at the entrance of the restaurant, and the seating is a bit iffy. Food is good, although the spring rolls were a little dry.
