A stylish and well-located restaurant with a beautiful interior that immediately sets a pleasant tone. The food is genuinely nice — tasty, well-seasoned, and attractively served. Staff are courteous, and the overall atmosphere feels relaxed and inviting. Service can get a bit slow when it’s busy, but the quality of the meal and the setting more than make up for it. Can not rate the food because cafe and pastries was closed so I couldn’t even get coffee. No physical menu so you need to have your phone which is weird because then we were told we could not have our purses (6 women). We were not told this when we all walked in and asked if they were open.
Dear Manager: How do you pay for a meal and get the digital menu without your phone from your purse?
Also no water or drinks in the 20-30 mins spent.
My group left without any service .
RECOMMENDATIONS ARE TO AVOID THIS PLACE.

I had a great time at the restaurant, the food was nice, excellent taste and the delivery was swift. The waiters are very courteous and polite. The ambience feels like something out of a moonlight. I love the experience and can’t wait to try it again with my loved ones. It’s just seem like a good place to chill on a hot day. ( I needed a breather and decided to dine out.. thanks goodness I got it .. Hahaha)

The price could be better aligned with the quality. The atmosphere is charming and perfect for a romantic dinner. However, the experience might be improved by reconsidering the policy on photography. Perhaps setting a minimum spend per table for photography could help reduce situations where some guests come solely to take pictures, which can sometimes disrupt the ambiance for others. Rather than requiring a rental fee for ring lights, allowing some controlled use of lighting could enhance the experience. Overall, it’s a great place.

Gonna be honest, place has potential to compete with a place like Bacardi but has a lot to learn about customer satisfaction. You can’t keep your customers waiting for you. It’s wrong, especially if you are trying to get 5 stars rating and with how much we pay. Came with my friends, and we were told to wait for a table. The guy who told us to wait totally forgot about us, and so we had to go remind someone else that we were there. They sat us down and gave us the menu, and no one came to us for a good 40 min. Why? I don’t know. Being the Naija men we are, we left immediately. At that point it was just disappointing.

I didnt post this review earlier. I’m not sure why i forgot but my goodness, I have been to simmer twice. The first time, i and my friend sasey, decided to try simmer after the renovations. It was sweet November bistro before. The second time was for my brother’s birthday. We had a buffet/dinner there. This has to be the best restaurant i have ever experienced in this city ( I have lived here most of my life). Whoever the owners are, they’re really changing the game. From the ambience to the food and customer service. Everything was amazing and I more than highly recommend. Just hold enough money sha.

However, they were out of all chicken- about one third of the menu, in addition to the bao. We just got chips and they were fine.
We were also told that beer could not be served inside, only outside (but wine and cocktails can be served inside). This was strange. Why not allow us to buy a beer if it is a part of your establishment?
Had high hopes for this rebranded restaurant, but the execution just wasn’t there for us. Hope they improve.
