The first thing I noticed about this spot when I stepped inside was how cleeeaaaannnn it was. Then the organization was unmatched, menu screens were easy to see and to choose from. Now let me get into the food . I ordered a medium curried goat with white rice, steamed cabbage and fried ripe plantain. The flavor was mind blowing to be honest, no cap. Meat fell off the bone, rice was shelly and perfect and the plantain was to die for. Highly recommend this spot and I’ll provide a photo to prove how great the food was the grocery store had everything single thing from Jamaica so you won’t be disappointed. One stop for everything.

I have gone to this place for a while. My son and I went alot. I’ve taken my husband a few times. The food had always been great. Service fantastic and the people were great. We loved going there. They would cook my food to order. I don’t do onions or peppers. It’s never been a problem. Once, the cook didn’t get it right. No problem! It was immediately fixed. Lately, different people working so not as great of an atmosphere but whatever. Food is still good. Today, my husband and I went. I ordered, paid. I’m sorry we’re out of what you wanted. Ok, I’ll take something else and placed that order. The cook came out and was talking to me about the order. No onions or peppers.They asked for the sides. I told them rice and beans, she asked would you like cabbage? Sure, as long as there’s no onions or peppers. There’s not. What’s in them. Cabbage and vegetables. Ok I can’t eat o&p. Welllll, guess what???? Onions and peppers in the big serving of cabbage. The cashier brought the plate to the table, after she was getting ready to bag it to go. She offered to take it back and take them out for me. I’m sorry but no I don’t want you playing in my food. Asked the cook about it..I didn’t know they were in there. What??? You’re the cook, but you don’t know what is in the food you cook and plate!!! Never was i offered anything to replace it or refund for that side. Not the place it use to be.

I ordered delivery last night, got the ox tail with beans/rice and potato salad. I got fried plantains and Mac and Cheese. The meal was so delicious and that Mac and cheese was some of the best I ever ate. I will order from here again 🙂

I have been to Port Antonio, Blue lagoon, ate in jerk hurts in Boston in Jamaica and have been to Blue mountains all non-touristy areas so I know Jamaican food.

If you have never been to SIMLO’S JERK HUT and GROCERY please don’t walk RUN…RUN FAST…I ordered their steam fish and carrot dumpling my lawd!!!! if it nice one more time…The friendliness, cleanliness, quantity, freshness, and the amount you get for your money NO one can beat or compare!
