We stumbled upon Sima Sushi during a stop in Kingston and I’m so glad we did! The sushi was really fresh, authentic, creative and truly some of the best we’ve had so far! The fish tasted clean and high-quality, and the portions were generous (there are no tiny cuts here).
The service was wonderful, very attentive, kind, and made us feel welcome right away. You can tell they take pride in what they do! The atmosphere was cozy and thoughtful, with a clean, tidy space that made the experience feel even more special.
Everything from the sashimi to the rolls were delicious, beautifully prepared, and honestly exceeded expectations. If you’re in Kingston and craving sushi, highly recommend making a stop at this spot! Such a gem!

Yikes! Fell upon this place and i’m not sorry. This unknown gem serves up some of the best rolls i’ve ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, great portion size and a mildly quiet atmosphere was the perfect equation. I didn’t have to eat for the rest of the day, mind you, i did order 2 different rolls. Nommy, nommy.

All I can say is that the food here is fresh and delicious. Every time I make it to Kingston I stop in and they never disappoint. Perfect every time.
It is a small, quaint little place although can be a little cool in the winter time if you sit to close to the door. Drafty I would say.

Sima is my favourite sushi restaurant to go to. Ive tried sushi from various towns across Ontario and they are by far one of the best. They have very fresh sashimi that never disappoints. The sashimi dinner sets are always wonderful, the eel is delicious and not too fishy, the salmon tataki is excellent, and the takoyaki is the perfect consistency.

This review is months late but I still remember how the waitress – despite being incredibly busy on a weekend – rushed out to give me my box of leftovers when I accidentally forgot it before leaving! Just for that alone I will keep going to Sima because she could’ve just ignored it but she wanted to make sure I got my food.

Was last here for lunch yesterday, August 26th, 2024 but I’ve been many of times over the last few years. The food has always been good and never disappoints. My favourite thing to order for lunch and dinner is Sushi A at their respective times. I normally get take out, but when I do dine in, the service is always really good and the atmosphere is great. One thing to note is that they don’t rush when bringing out your food and it may be a 15-25 minute wait depending on what you ordered. I don’t mind though because sushi making is an art of its own and the chef’s should be allowed to take their time to perfect your order. Overall, I would highly recommend Sima Sushi for your next sushi craving while in Kingston!

The is the best sushi , very fresh. I came in with a stroller and was super impressed the owner or manager assisted me in and out with the stroller with my baby in it . I’d highly recommend this place ! The hot tea is so cozy and they even care enough about their customers to add heaters by the door so those tables don’t feel a draft. Great food and service probably the best I’ve experienced in a long time.
