Silvershell, now going by Cluck n Shuck in the Easton Public Market is a for sure place to try. Sitting right up front by the front entrance. We made a circle the market and kept coming back here. So glad we did. We couldn’t decide on a sandwich so we got The Flock. A sampling of all their sandwiches. The Korean is sweet and tangy and dripping with Gochujang. The Phoenix has a spicy sauce that is delicious and manageable heat wise. The Dutchie is on the traditional PA side with mustard and sauerkraut. The Dilly was fun with a nice dill flavor. So sandwiches stayed crispy even with their finger licking sauces. We will definitely be back.

I don’t understand the low rating because the cooking’s good. The raw ingredients aren’t that great but it is a landlocked city. They did the best they could with the seafood. The fried oysters weren’t oyster-y enough, which can’t be fixed with any cooking magic, but the breading was light and crispy. The slaw and pickles added much-needed brightness.

Good addition to the Easton Public Market.

We had Fish and Chips, a bowl of New England Clam Chowder and some raw oysters.

The raw oysters were great. They were sweet, a tad tangy, not a hint of grit. It went down from there, as the batter of the fish patties were soggy and the fries were cold and “limpy”. The chowder was off, runny, with some clam bits floating in a thin broth. To us, the chowder needs the most improvement, as it does not follow any known chowder style, not thick enough for New England, but too thick for Rhode Island. Perhaps they want to be difference, but it misses the mark by a mile.

We were hoping to have a casual seafood spot to go in the area, but this joint needs to get a bit better for us to go back regularly.

The prices are high for the casual place. The wait was quite long. May be they are still figuring this thing out!!!!

I ordered calamari and the calamari look like crumbs. They gave me the tentacles and the beginning of the squid the little tips it look like popcorn it was horrible. For the money I paid it was ridiculous! And the hush puppies were so salty !! I don’t know if it was a color, race are that’s just the way they serve that awful calamari! I advise you to go to 3rd and ferry! Big disappointment! I wish I never tipped them! Stay away! Just awful!

Good fish, batter not too thick and nice and crisp. Fries needed some work, a bit soggy. Decent coleslaw and nice pickled veggies on the side. A little pricey overall.

I’ve been going to this fish store for about two years now, just about every weekend. The fish is always fresh. I especially love the Scottish Salmon and the white fish. I basically get it every week. They have several other things there that are great too like the crab cake egg sandwich brunch. The staff is very friendly and the nice girl who works there even knitted my baby a blanky because she’s so nice and I see her every weekend. I’ll be coming here for years to come.

Firstly, shocked when I saw the online reviews.

The staff were extremely friendly, the market offers an atmosphere out of a novel that you love, doesn’t matter which novel, just one that you love.

The clam chowder was not what I am use to eating, but it was what I needed in my life.

The lobster roll and accompanying sides were perfectly made, reminding me a trip up through Maine.

If you go here, you will be pleased. If you don’t like it, you are wrong.

5 stars weighted.

If you want a lobster roll, go to 3rd & Ferry and not here. Not only is the lobster roll more expensive here, it’s simply mediocre at best. And the fries that come with it are super thin and taste like they’ve been fried 5 times over. Honestly disappointing when I visited yesterday.

If you want cooked food, don’t go here. I can’t speak on the fresh seafood they sell.

We are addicted to this place. Hands down favorite is the green salad with trout they smoke. We love the fried calamari and the crab cakes and often will order and share a platter and salad. Their clam chowder is one of the richest and tastiest I’ve ever tried. The hush puppies and fries are great too.

Service has been exceptional ever since we started eating here about a year ago. The prices are reasonable for the level of quality and freshness of all their options.
