Veg Spicy Ramen
A flavorful, plant-based option with a rich, spicy broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The vegetables were fresh and hearty, and the spice level was just right — warming but not overpowering.
Pork Blaze Ramen
This one stole the show. The pork was tender and smoky, and the creamy, spicy broth was deeply satisfying. A must-try for meat lovers.
Service Experience
Unfortunately, our dining experience was dampened by an uncomfortable interaction. A woman — possibly the owner — repeatedly hovered near our table and eventually asked us to pay before we had even finished our meal. We were there for about 45 minutes, eating at a relaxed pace, and felt rushed and unwelcome by the end. It was an odd and disappointing moment in an otherwise enjoyable meal.
Final Thoughts
The ramen is undeniably good, but the service left us feeling uneasy. We hope this was a one-off incident, because the food deserves better hospitality to match.
Parking during the lunch hour in the new Totem Lake area can be a little crazy, but is free and there is a garage.
I ordered four bowls of tonkotsu ramen via Instacart from this location and picked them up in person. All containers were sealed when I brought them home.
I was in the middle of eating my bowl, I found something on top of the soup, like a seed head with some black lines on it, so I picked it out instead of eating it. It turned out to be a dead green stink bug (I have photos). If you look at it from 10-inch distance, hard to tell. I can’t imagine if I ate it. My tongue felt numb for a few hours. I threw away the other three bowls since they were made in the same batch. And told my family not to eat it and we got something else.
I contacted Instacart and the restaurant. Instacart restaurant was powered by Uber Eats and no customer service number available, I submitted photo via chat and the AI agent refused to refund the order. Then I contacted the restaurant because they seems to be responsible when I first called. But I was told that they can’t refund, only offered a free meal next time by mentioning the owner’s or manager’s name. To be honest, I am not sure if it works. More importantly, due to this food safety issue, I personally do not feel comfortable returning. And I suggest them to separate the greens for any coming take-away.
